Nice graphics, very smooth, what's implemented works really well, but I'm left wishing for something more

I got to 810 m. I love the art, really great job on that.

I really like the aesthetic here, and it's a great take on the theme. I can only think of two things that might make it better.

Things feel a little empty, and I couldn't work out why some sprites would appear from the ship occasionally. (Are they bubbles?). Adding a few collectibles to pick up along the way would give the player something else to do besides dodging the rocks; this would have kept me playing for longer.

Adding a simple looping track -- something dark and ominous -- would be a good way to improve the mood.

The sprites that appear should be abyssal fish
but doesn't really looks like fish

The Graphics and controls are great! Love the simplicity but more variation in the walls and obstacles would go a long way to keeping the fun up as you get deeper.

Thanks for participating in the jam.

Was a solid entry. Would have loved some music. Controls were easy to use / understand, but could have used more variation or difficulty in the level generation.

I kept thinking the openings were going to get narrower and narrower but didnt happen.

Nice job.

Strangely, I loved that I had limited vision. It made the uneven rocks a little nerve wracking when they were slightly off screen. Though I do agree some bubble sounds maybe would have broken up the silence a bit.

Just gave this one a go and enjoyed it, got past 1000m before crashing! I think something that would make it more fun would be to gradually increase the speed as you go down to add more of a challenge.

Controls feel nice and snappy, art looks good and is consistent, the limited vision is a nice aspect (what if the vignette were also pixel art :open_mouth:).

It was somewhat lacking in engagement, I got to 1500m one my best run, but I wanted to know how deep it goes, but it felt a bit slow to reach 1000m. This could really be an engaging (mobile) game with more variety and challenge! Also (although I am one to talk) some deep sea ambience sounds (not even music) would have significantly elevated the atmosphere for relatively little effort.

Nice work.

Fun to see all these submarine games! I really like your cute sharp aesthetic and I always enjoy having a nice short simple play going through these submissions.

Great submarine submission! Quality job on the parallax and keeping it simple. I got to 1056, just far enough to see that you've implemented ocean zones! Very cool!

Made it just short of 1k. Increasing speed or difficulty over time would help a lot. Nice pixel art though.
