I did notice some sort of tearing issue with the tiles sporadically which made me think it was raining underground at first. I was playing the web version which may be the cause.
You should also make sure to add a cover image when you get a chance. That's what shows up in the game list. Right now it's just a couple of gray bars which is the default if you don't add one.
there is a lot of bugs, some more annoying than others, you can shoot bats with your bow when they are behind you, the "end of level" trap door sometimes block the path even tho they don't look as big as they really are(made me lose a key), you can't pick up bombs, and ores that drop from rocks that spawn on you needs you to get away from them and then go back in to pick them up (it happened right at the start for me, so I didn't understand what they were for until I randomly went back sometimes after)
from a game design perspective, I would probably try to make the use of the pickaxe more dynamic, it doesn't feel super great to have to completely stop to hit in my opinion, and it's not very effective against bats either :)
but overall, I enjoyed the experience, I would like to see more of it in the future in case this project is going to be worked on :)
I really love all the pixel art in this game. The title screen's was so good--I almost though I was about to play a dragonborn Castlevania type deal! But the "cuter" stuff in the actual levels was fabulous, too. You might consider (if you're not going to use it yourself) making an art kit/asset pack out of it!
Critique/possible bug(?) things: I wasn't sure what to do about picking things up at first. I finally figured out the rhythm to let it sit for a second before I could walk into it. The contact shadows also rising off the ground is very understandable in a game jam game but still a little off-putting. I also...this might have just been an issue on my computer but I could sometimes see little lines between tiles while I was moving? It was just a flicker, not really noticeable, just thought I might mention it.
Also, some music would be nice.
Seriously though. Really fun! I loved the bats and finding the rhythm of the game. Well done!
I recommend adding audio to your game if it's in Jam category. Consider using the [Newgrounds Audio Portal](https://www.newgrounds.com/audio) to find cool songs to fill in that sound.
I got around 19000 Points in the end. I dont know if thats a bug or not, but it seems like your attack speed increases when hitting the bats.
I noticed some flickering with your tilemap rendering and we had the same problem with our game (also in Unity). Disabling anti aliasing fixed this problem for us, maybe this also does the trick for you <3
The sound effects need to be lowered just a smidgen in comparison to how everything else is at a lower less jarring volume
