The Island by killthealias

[raw]
made by killthealias for LD33 (COMPO)
An interactive music piece, more of a song than a game. I decided to abandon the theme and instead pursue an idea I'd been toying with for a few days prior.

-CONTROLS-
Walk: WASD
Jump: Spacebar

-OBJECTIVE-
Collect the 8 sound pillars and complete the song.

Overall kinda relaxing. Liked the rendering style, even though there were some areas where it looked odd.
Also the buildup of the song was nice.

The game didn't end after collecting everything though. Or I didn't wait long enough.

Ok, why not. The music if perfect. I miss however some kind of game-over screen.

Pst, you can try my game, I have my music in it too, blink blink ;) ;)

The objective is fantastic! Complete the song as you collect the stones is fascinating. it's relaxing and immersive. You should go on with this game, maybe put some obstacles or puzzles to make it more challenger.

I like how you properly synched all the tracks, it sounded great near the end there. Relaxing game, I love it.

There wasn't much in terms of gameplay but I like the flat cel-shaded art style plus I love how the audio tracks are layered on perfectly after collecting each pillar.

Best. Game. EVAR.
Seriously, better than Skyrim. Way better.
You ever wanted to explore a world? Now you can do it in this game.

The soundtrack is godlikely mega-awesome.
The graphics are nice.
The controls are fluid, the gameplay flows like water. I felt controlling the game like never before, this level of dynamism is missing from even triple A titles like Skyrim and such.
The mood was perfect and relaxing.

I say, you did the right choice to drop the theme and pursue your own idea. Thank you for this masterpiece, thank you. Keep up the good work!
