@elsombrero Thank you! I don't think my art is anything special, just a lot of trial and error. I loved your use of lighting and minimal particle effects, they were very effective in your entry!

Scary but not scary enough for me not to play it, so the perfect amount of scary for a game jam. Mood and audio was spectacular so be proud of that!

This game is awesome! I really really like this type of 2d pixel art style, but you also did so great on the mood and the theme! I never expected I am the true devil in the end, but all the questions just lead me to that hell. This is the most incredible game I have played in this gamejam! The mood is soooooooo great! Nice Job!

Great sprite work! ( :

I found the end quite unexpected and the sfx at the end was fitting a oof and concerning. (In a good way for what you made)

Btw, I assume you did the voice acting yourself? Is it your first time or have you tried a few times before?

Anyways it was not too shabby, while a bit too deep maybe and felt like a warlock of sort was speaking to one.

But enjoyable non the less. Great entry C:

It really is a great time for GMS2 users. The new updates to GML have been incredible.

@radiotrophia Thank you, I'm glad you liked the sprites!
It's amazing how many people assumed I used RPG maker. I love GMS2, especially since the 2.3 update

@n0va Thank you! I'm so glad you like the game.
I did do the voice myself. I'm actually a professional actor and acting coach, so I've done a lot previously. Personally, I don't like the voice at all. My teammate (who was in charge of sound) didn't like my original voice so I changed it. He preferred the new version and my Twitch chat seemed to prefer it too. My original version was sort of frail but powerful, sort of like Richard Haris in Harry Potter. I'm tempted to release a version with the original voice.

Thrilling experience! It fits the theme well. Great job with the art, I also loved the sound effects, and the way text changes after every playthrough. Good job with the voice acting! (btw now I'm curious what original version sounds like :D) Keep up the good work!

I died ashamed of myself. This has been one of my favorites so far. Great job.

I don't really anything about GameMaker, but I wonder if there is a way to bundle all the game's files into one folder on export. When I extracted the zip to a Ludum Dare 48 Games folder on my computer, there was already a data.win file from a previous LD48 GameMaker game. That created a conflict with this game and I named the new file data(2).win. But this game wouldn't run until I moved that previous game's files into another folder and renamed the file to just data.win. Again I don't know if this is completely normal for GameMaker Windows games (I'm a Mac person and just booting into Windows 10 to play everyone's games.)

I thought the structure of the game story was fun and the art was incredibly fitting and beautiful. Loved the voicework! I think a little more interactivity in the elevator could be more engaging. I'm curious to retry with different choices!

Great game! The graphics are nice, and I thought it was neat how you enhanced the walking animation with the rocking from left to right - it worked well. The story and audio were really good too. I haven't played it more than twice and didn't really differ my answers much, but from what I can tell the answers you make don't quite affect anything in the game, which I feel would have been nice. Other than that though I thought the game was really good. Well done!
