This is the story of an accountant named Andrew.

Andrew is quite an ordinary guy. He has a wife and two kids and gets up at 6:30 every morning to get ready for work. For 20 years he has been working in the same accounting job. It may not be what he dreamt of as a child, but it's honest work and it pays the bills. Andrew is happy with his mundane and simple lifestyle.

One day Andrew sits down at his desk, just like any other day. On his desk he sees a note. Apparently a new CEO has been hired, he will start replacing some of the accountants with computers! Just as Andrew finishes reading the announcement, the phone on his desk begins to ring...

Are you tired of digging and diving games this Ludum Dare? Here's a different take on the theme! Your goal is to put your former company deeper and deeper into debt by destroying the whole office.

Disclaimer: The game was submitted some hours after the deadline because of a game-breaking bug. I couldn't build due to some issue with Unity's NavMesh pathfinding system only working in the editor. I wish I could have uploaded a jam version and a post jam version but I literally couldn't build the game, so this is the only version I've got. I've been up all night trying to fix it, but the pathfinding is still bugged on certain levels.

Great game! I love the graphics and UI that you implemented. Overall good entry.

Oh man this was a bucket of fun. I was laughing in the begining with that dialogue, and fits very nicely with the theme. Song choice was also really great! Only negative thing I can say is the sound effects were painfully loud sometimes. But this one is very very good, most fun I've had so far.

"Please take your things and leave using the WASD keys" made me laugh :D
The game looks reeeeallly good! Probably the best looking game I've seen, music is cool, and overall - I loved the game
It is sometimes easy to get stuck in objects, but that's easily fixed buy breaking everything :D

Awesome game! I really like the art direction, everything sticks to the art style. And it's a cool adaptation of the theme, going deeper and deeper in debt. The animations were a bit wonky but that's understandable for a game jam. And it would be nice to have a health bar or something, but those are really just minor things. Overall great job, great game!

"If I can't have a job, no-one can!"

Absolutely brilliant interpretation of the theme, and despite some minor glitches an amazingly fun experience :D

Haha, love it! The setup was phenomenal! Not to mention the art and music! The gameplay was also pretty fun, though didn't keep me hooked for to long. With some refined combat, "Payday" would be an even greater joy to play!

Really good entry, obviously theres some collision and pathfinding issues but it doesn't really take away from the experience. Had a lot of fun with this one!

This was some good, chaotic fun. The performance on my laptop wasn't great, but that may well be a me problem. I wasn't sure about the use of theme at first, but it's actually a pretty novel approach on the whole 'deep in debt' angle.

Loved the character models! The opening cutscene looked great. It was also fun to run around and destroy stuff, but after i killed the stapler guy behind the office barricade, i couldn't figure out where to go. I wish there was more flavour stuff like poeple trying to talk you out of it or something, because what there was of that was great! Well done!

Really great fun. Slightly buggy audio instances of hurt noises whilst hitting furniture as well as some invisible collisions, but I was having so much fun smashing stuff I didn't mind! Solid experience and nice looking 3D graphics too! Different use of the theme was nice as well.

Very nice! It runs well on Linux via Wine. I like the take on the theme, the graphics, and the humour.

My only comment is that it felt hard to control at times, perhaps due to overzealous collision boxes

Those clay like soft looking models are amazing.

Great job on that!

I wish there was a webgl build or a Mac build, this looks like a fun game!

Great job - and under time pressure too!

I had a problem with some object _seemingly_ not disabling collision? but it could have been lost in the piles of debris

Awesome work!
