Deep Down by HGgamer

[raw]
made by HGgamer for Ludum Dare 48 (JAM)

Deep Down is a game about getting as much down as possible. But be careful because you will take damage if you fall down from to high. Controls are : left right up down arrows, A to restart and M to mute the music I initially wanted to have more content, new mechanics and 2 more level, but some privat stuff just happend the last day so i had to cut. Howewer I'm happy with what I did and I'll of course try to improve the game in the futur, like adding new levels and possibly an infinite level with procedural generation, wait and see... I hope you will still enjoy :) Tools used : Piskel, LMMS, Godot

I like how simple this is, didn't even realise there was a jump button at first. To be honest, I like that it's predictable and not procedurally generated, because every retry means I can try to find better and faster routes. I was kinda hooked before I even knew it. The soft pillows were especially interesting to find shortcuts to.

Nice use of sound effect when losing health, but I think it could use more ambient feedback. Like I get why there's a "falling speed" meter, but something like wind visual/sound effects when you're falling too fast would help to communicate the speed more legibly.
