I liked the idea of an RPG deck builder, looking back fondly on Pokemon TCG from the GBC. I found the battles a bit unengaging though, as most of the time you just spammed whatever cards you got, and the text was a bit slow. With a deeper card system and a text skip it could be great!

Making a TCG in 72 hours is a pretty amazing feat! well done. I really enjoyed this, and sorting through my deck was really fun!

I played the whole thing and loved it, awesome job!

It's very fun and most importantly it's very ambitious, it seems very complex yet plays very simply, I quite liked the way the battle itself works, and the deckbuilding part is also very nice, the music sounds very out of place though, and the overworld is clunky, i also think it would benefit from an option to make the text appear as a whole but that's just me personally since i'm a fast reader, overall a very well made ambitious game, i liked it a lot!

Fun little game, enjoyed the art style and different mode of delivering the theme. Music on the overworld was quite trippy and fun, the battle theme was decent. Good work!

Nice job! Would love to see a skip for the typing of dialogue implemented. Also you can continuously play cards from the discard pile -- don't think that's intended?

Great job making a card game! It's fun and interesting, the combat is cool as well. Great job!

Very interesting, the game is very interesting, there is a kind of rpg feeling I really like, and the card program is very complete, I think it’s great

Very fun concept! This brings back memories of Pokemon TCG on Gameboy.

I love the flow of the game and the world!

Card game wise, I wish there were more interesting effects than just Heal/Deal.

Also, it would be cool if the camera would anticipate the direction you are walking to provide a more seamless visual experience.

Despite those two things, this is one of my very favorite games from this jam. Nice job!

Great Game ! The concept is nice and the deck building is good ! Maybe you could add some ScreenShake
during fight and also some sound effect / graphic effet when you or the enemy get hit or heal. With a deeper card system (like card that allows you to draw cards / get stronger for the next turn...) it could be realy fun ! Good job to the team it's a great game !

Somehow the scrolling on my collection glitched and made the collection list go blank, which softlocked the game because I was no longer able to add cards to my deck.

Besides that, the game was good! I would be interested in seeing an expanded version of this with more variety in card effects.

Although the player is invincible(so that the healing card is useless in this version), I still get lots of fun from collecting cards with different rare level. And the content of map size is pretty big for a jam title, it's happy to play to the game end.

Yess! This was a lot fun to play, I love deckbuilders. Good job on finishing such a long game. This is a great MVP to start building an even richer game on. More cards with more complicated mechanics, like card draw, combos etc. Animations and sound effects for the battles. Longer plot. Heck, I feel like building my own deckbuilder rpg now!

@nardandas Thank you for playing the game! We definitely were inspired by Pokemon. Agreed, we needed to add some additional card types to make the battle more engaging. I wish I could add some now. :)

@vitor-milioni Thank you for playing and for giving your feedback! The text does need some work. It should probably be skippable too. It was sort of driving us crazy as we play tested, but didn't have time to fix it properly :)

@jkyd That was not intended. :) Thank you for pointing that out. Agree, skipping the text needs to be implemented. I really appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment!

@silas-reinagel I wish we would have been able to implement more card types like you said. We're planning to keep working on this, so new card types are in the future! Thanks for playing the game and leaving your feedback. :)

@shin0nome Thank you so much for the kind words and for the feedback! In the jam version of the game, it is difficult to tell when you've taken damage and other actions have taken place. These are definitely things we'd like to get added. :)

@justuspan Thanks for playing and leaving a comment! :) Yes, we should have balanced the enemies better. I ran out of time and ended up having several of the enemies have similar decks instead of increasingly harder decks as you progressed.

@iorena I'm glad you enjoyed playing it! :) Thanks for the great ideas too. We're going to keep working on it post jam and will be adding more card types to make the battles more interesting.

Big scope for a game jam, and I think you managed to tackle it well. I think the card duels could benefit from some reactivity, or even just displaying the cards played by the opponent (it might've but I missed it). Overall well done for a large multi system project!

Great game! Gave me quite some Shandalar vibe, which is good! You also added enough content to make me play quite a while.
Combat works fine (although too easy), i was just missing some synergies (e.g. to make a blue 1dmg spell worthwile to keep because it's blue), otherwise upgrading is kinda straightforward.
