It looks and sounds really beautiful, but I it crashed pretty quickly once I tried to eat something ...

Wow, the game looks astonishing! I found it quite hard and didn't get very far, because it takes so long to charge up a shot. But holy hell does it look nice!

Really enjoyed the 3D art (especially the environment) and found the experience quite relaxing (except for the impending death from above!)

The mechanics is pretty clear. Very successful in creating the inside body environment and mood!
I think I travelled pretty deep, but got caught by the ceiling and died... Wondering what the ending might be..

@imyellowfish Thanks for your review, I'm glad you liked it! A story mode will be added in the future but for now the plan is to score as much as possible

@eta I'm happy that you liked it and with a bit of practice you can get pretty far! My best is 1100 :))

@gimmers I find it relaxing too then the wall of death appears and I run for my life (or swim for my life i guess)

Great game! I love the graphics! But I found the slow firing rate of the weapon and the fact that it makes you immobile makes it a bit too hard, I do welcome the challenge. Lots of replayability. I think I reached around 500 without firing a single shot :D

Oh and for some reason the audio is reaaaally low on my pc, I could barely hear anything.

@diharaw94 I'm glad you liked it and we'll fix the audio as soon as possible. As for the laser, would be to op to be able to move while shooting, and we also plan to add more weapons in the future

the game is really beautiful! great job with the art!

I will ask: is there a way to beat the game or is it endless? if so, a way of knowing how far you've progress would be a nice addition, else the lore in your description is a bit misleading (not a big deal tho). I got to around 2100 score and lost cuz it was too hard to see enemies then (too dark)

I would not limit the number of shots given that they are already long to charge, make you stop when shooting and you can not redirect the shoot and, in my opinion, these 3 constraint are already enough for the difficulty of the game.

A background music would be a nice addition but I know it can be difficult to find one during the jams

Overall, the game is cool, beautiful and well within the theme

@vivien-fargette The game is endless, for now at least, so the only thing showing you how great you have done is the score. Yes ,right now is a bit difficult to play, we actually had plans to add more weapons, that's why the laser is so hard to shoot with.
Thank your for the review!

Really enjoyed this. It was a very peaceful and serene experience, even with evil brain cells trying to eat me. It took me a little bit to get used to the control scheme and the gameplay loop, but it was very fun! I see now from the comments about that my score wasn't very impressive haha, but I took a screencap anyway.

I'd say re: the weapon stuff above, it may have been a bit more intuitive to have smaller instant shots and then a hold down charge than pierces enemies or could be swung in an arc? Either way, it was still very satisfying to blast 'em with that giant lazer haha.

Art and music both great, and like I said a very serene experience.

Nice game. Takes a lot of time to load and fire the laser, also it slows you down. It was a little difficult to understand who where the enemy (the red ones were easy to get, but the yellow ones that slow you down too a little). Sounds are nice :)

Really great visuals and atmosphere (although the music volume is really low)! The mechanics are simple, but efficient. Although the controls can feel a bit awkward, especially the shooting that has an unclear timing. Running away from fast enemies to obtain enough distance to shoot them is not that much satisfying. However, with the progression of the lightning and the environment, there is a strong feeling of progressing deeper and deeper into darkness. Overall it was a nice experience!

Attractive appearance of the game))

It seems to me that everything is happening too slowly

I loved the art style of this game.the combat felt a little clunky with the charge and stop mechanics

really nice look and feel. one of the best looking LD games i've yet played. nice. gameplay could be just a bit more fluid /flowy, I feel like I'm squirming around in honey. good stuff

I have seen several going deeper into one's mind games in this LD, but that's the first one where you actually go literally deeper into the brain.
The graphics were very good and give a really nice mood to the game.

The gameplay could need a bit more polishing. Movement feels a bit weird at first and shooting requiring quite a long charge + stopping you afterward isn't satisfying. I ended up continuously charging a shot to have a 'normal' movement (as you move the same speed but in an uniform way while charging) and be able to react fast to enemies if needed which kind of defeats both the needing to charge mechanic & the jerky movement. It also lacks in difficulty curve imo, as you can go really far (went to 2k before stopping) once you find a good strategy with no added difficulty except a bit of darkness that stays manageable.
I also wonder what the yellow 'chromosome' stuff that we can pickup does outside slowing us for a few secs. I assumed at first they would be some kind of powerup but saw no result even after picking a dozen of them, and they don't give any score either.

Also a small bug with the score's text when we destroy several enemies at once, the text size won't reset to its initial size and can end up a lot smaller or bigger.

@vladadamm thanks for the review! I fixed and rebalanced a lot of bugs and game mechanics, however they are on the post LD version.
