⚠This is a local two player game! You need a buddy to play. Also, its sort of a proof of concept more than a properly balanced game... there's a good chance you'll end up in a stalemate! 😅⚠

Two miners play the premier underground sport with their worm friend.

Controls: Player 1 - A S D Player 2 - ⬅⬇➡

How to play: - Dig and move with the control keys. - Get diamonds and gems to dig and move faster - If the worm is on your side of the pit, dig it out to send him over to your opponent. - Game ends when someone's timer runs out!

Hints and tidbits: - Get more treasure after meter is full to send tough rock to you opponent and get more time. - More tough rock appears the further down you go. - The timing of when the worm is sent is important! - I messed up the color coding in some places... ​Player 1 is on the left, and Player 2 is on the right.

Wow! What a LudumDare. I started off making a 'sequel entry' to a previous LudumDare entry, but worried that I wouldn't be able to finish in time. So, after around a day had past, I decided to start over with something smaller scale! While I do want to eventually finish what I had for the 'sequel entry,' I think it was the right decision to start over- even if this game is a little unpolished, especially audio-wise. Sorry for no single player mode or AI! I was in quite the rush.

Makes me wish I had a friend to play with o.O

It was really satisfying breaking the rocks, and the little worm's expressions are cute as heck. Good job!

There are some bugs but overall: Very nice entry! I really like it. I'm now going to ask somebody to play it with me... ;-)

Great little game! I really like how the worn works, it's a nice change of pace from the usual "garbage" mechanics like in Puyo Puyo. Really impressive that you managed to make this in a single day.

This game is like a bang from my bhildhood! Dendy style audio and graphics are awesome!
It deserves the first place prize just for multiplayer mode!

I wish there was a turorial in the game, and it was buggy for me, but it loaded rediculously fast, even on my garbage machine, and the graphics and audio are super impressive, especially for a compo game.

I don't have anyone to play with, so I wound up playing both sides at once, which was surprisingly fun. The gameplay is simple, but needing to make decisions with a time limit adds some tension. I also like the appealing pixel art and the music was great. I will say that the game gets trivially easy once you get full diamonds/gems. In fact, I got both timers so high that they exceeded 99 and wrapped around, presumably because they were only programmed to display 2 digits. After a while, the tiles also started glitching out, spawning overlapped in mid air, leaving big chunks of empty space (although this issue went away after a few minutes). But these technical issues didn't impede my enjoyment. Overall, this game is some nice, simple fun, but could use an extra twist to keep the late game from dragging on forever. Nice work!

Ok, I didn't get that this game was meant for two players: I just played both characters at once and was having a blast while doing so. Good Job!

Tried it again with 2, and it was a blast! During one game we both go to the point where we had 100+ seconds left with the worm, because of all the green gems. Maybe at some point they should stop spawning, in favor of diamonds.
