This game feels like a fewer dream, in a good way.
I love it!

The music was so loud lol. I really liked the attack that looked like a tazer and gathered brains. Tried to beat it, but could not, so it was great to have the shortcut in there :)

Dude, this music slaps. I died 45 times, still haven't gotten past the dudes that fall down and explode. This is like my kind of style of insanity. Fast paced and challenging. The only thing I would maybe add is an air dodge similar to the ground dodge? I'm definitely gonna play this until I beat it. Great job dude.

Whew, this game was intense! I admire the fast paced, in your face, frenetic mood this game has. I wasn't able to make it past level 1, but I liked the enemy variety and the character moveset.

Very fun! I started playing calmly. When the music got frantic I started to die more often. Nice Work!

Fast-paced, the music was perhaps a little too loud for my tastes but I could see this becoming quite the rage-game!

Wow, this was really great! I loved pretty much everything about it. The music, art style, the "parasite gun", the boss level... It had a really consistent aesthetic that appealed to me a lot. Everything twitchy and lo-fi and break-beat-y!

I thought the final vertical shaft on the first level felt a bit unfair, but maybe that's because I forgot about the dodge ability (which did look really cool!). Still, I was determined to beat it because everything else about it felt so good! I loved the way the death counter progressed, with the icon getting smaller to fit more in. Hard to say why, but I thought it was neat and it made me want to beat it with as few deaths as possible!

There were lots of nice little touches. Lots of cool animations: the death animation on the final boss, the big explosions in level 1, the "parasite gun". I do think that explosion animation's duration could be shortened a little for gameplay reasons, though.

Not sure what my final death count was, but I did beat both levels. Only "major" criticism is that I didn't really get much of the theme out of it with only the two levels. But I don't really care, it's still my favorite game I've played so far! Awesome work!

This game is awesome! I love the chaotic but simple aesthetic you went for as well, and the music is absolutely deserving of the soundcloud tag. The game kinda reminds me of some of cactus' stuff. The enemies and mechanics were all pretty unique and challenging and there was a bunch of fun visual details, like the explosions and the wavelength of your attack getting shorter the longer you hold it. You clearly had fun with it!

I also liked the roll dodge mechanic, although it felt kinda useless. I'd be nice if the combat and levels were more designed around it.

Other than that, this is a masterpiece! Good job!

A die-and-retry full of eye-melting charm, it's crazy how super fast animations and a banger track can immediately influence player reflexes and behaviour, you could make an old man strafejump on quake 3 arena with this kind of mood, really cool!

I did not really get the point of the spin-sprint thing and just played methodically to beat it. The boss was pretty cool but extremely easy once you know the sweet spots (respectively dead center, slightly up and shaving the boss for each pattern). I really liked the sine-cosine wave effect on the parasite gun.

I found a little bug: If you beat the game and restart, you will be locked in shoot'em up mode in the platforming level (if you remove the boundaries you have a fun and rewarding little secret "feature" ;p)

Some points you can improve:
- Adding a WASD control scheme
- Shrinking the player's hurtbox a little bit to make collisions feel more forgiving
- Changing the walljump input requirement to make it more comfortable: up + wall direction instead of up+inverse direction

Well done!
