Down to the Core by his-games
You play as Crys, a lone soldier in an endless struggle. You must descend into a chaotic simulation in a viscous computer, knowing that, should the chaos overcome you, you will never return.

Down to the Core is a fast-paced bullet hell, where the further you go, the harder it gets. Empower yourself as you descend. Challenge yourself - how far you can go, and can you reach the legendary Alpha Core at depth 1100.

Also don't forget to listen to the music it will make my composer happy.
🐛 BUGS FIXED
-Teleporting enemy has the correct layer set to check before teleporting (so can't tp out of bounds
-Intermediary animations and effects set to a visible Z layer
-Player sprite updates properly on intermediary, and isn't visible on screen transitions
-UI screen scaling now actually functions

Nice midcore game)
You did great job)
Also thank you for your comment on my game, I have fixed the issue and it should be playable now. You saved my ass. Funny how our games have such similar names.
Tho, Sound and Graphics are nice. ^^
The gameplay is really smooth and I think you nailed the frantic feeling of these kinds of shooters.
The only thing I found a bit annoying was that the in game music was louder, than the music between levels, but I don't know whether that was by the html version, in any case this is really minor at this point :) really good work!
The difficulty scaling is very good. It starts calmly, but becomes more and more intense with each level, that's really well done !
- Really liked the upgrades
- Came to depth 500 I think
Controls worked really well and were smooth/responsive!
Nice job!
I found level 600 easier than previous ones, maybe it was a random situation but there was a blind spot where no enemy bullet was led to.
Good job!
I like it when you could take a break and upgrade stuff between levels, so the pace won't be too intensive all the time.
BTW if you set the background to scroll up constantly within each level, it might get a clearer feeling about going deeper and deeper.
And I think this game could grow to be sth like the 'Downwell' maybe, if you guys keep working:)
Overall nicely done !
The initial tutorial level was perfect as an introduction. I felt like the difficulty increased quite fast -- I wouldn't have minded playing a couple more or longer levels. Also, I was always a bit stressed out right at the beginning of a level, because it's hard to predict where the player will spawn and there are immediately enemies all around. Maybe the enemies could appear a bit more slowly, over time? The upgrade mechanic is easy to understand and use and does a great job at breaking up the gameplay.
And I think I fell victim to a bug on my second attempt, when a new level started without spawning a player somehow, and I couldn't do anything anymore:

Overall, really well done, I thoroughly enjoyed it! Congratulations on your first Ludum Dare! 🥳
Спасибо за игру ^_^
