Fly Away by PSV Games Studio
In this game made exclusively for Ludum Dare, you will have to fly around the obstacles to survive.
The game uses my newest menu template (the same one that will be used in my Parkour 2.0 game), which contains:
Option of language in English and Portuguese, option of screen resolution and optimized visual.
Even though it was done in 72 hours, the result was very good, I learned a lot and managed to make one of the best games ever made by me.
I hope you like it and leave your comment to help me improve the game.
In this game I used several optimization techniques making the game super light and running on any PC!
In version 1.1.0 the game has a new scoring system and the bugs have also been resolved! Can you pass my record 2250 score?
What's new in version 1.2.0: * New scoring system (now you don't score points when you die) * Improved collision physics (now using the player mesh) * music volume option * Text bugs fixed * some extra polishing
What's new in version 1.3.0:
- Improved collision physics system, now in this version the collision caps deform with animation, thus generating a very realistic and efficient collision!
- some extra polishing

There were a couple of times where I wasn't sure if I'd somehow died on the landing platform and just redoing the same thing, so maybe some more differentiation or at least a "you died" text or a "level x start" text on screen would help there.
I'd also expect skydiving controls to feel a little 'floatier' with some more acceleration but I understand that that makes movement a lot less precise so the game might not feel as good. I would have also appreciated slight strafe controls to finely tune my fit through some of the tighter gaps.
I think a cool addition to this game could be scoring more points based on how close you fly to things or how tight of a gap you flew through, since once I started challenging myself to shoot for the tiny holes I had a lot of fun with this. Great work!
The graphics were really nice, I really enjoyed the main characted and some of the other assets in the game (House, fences etc.). It was really enjoyable to play!
Also found that you can end up outside the sinkhole if you hold forward while respawning. Not a big deal but thought I'd mention.
Today we will still have version 1.1!
Hello, thank you very much for the feedBack, just now I just posted an updated version of the game with your suggestions. Be happy if you play again!

Overall a really good game, good job!
@domsse-interactive what's your record?
and I'm also adding a volume option :)
Here is my playthrough of your game

I did not really understand how you get points. Especially since dying over and over just helps you increase your score. And I tried to figure out if you get more or less points by going faster but it did not seem to matter, so I am not sure. In the end I just died over and over until my score was over 3000
I did give it a good try but had enough after the second time the hitbox around the feet clipped the fences. Worth fixing it, as you want players to have the adrenaline rush of "wow that was close" not the disappointment of "that sucks my feet didn't even hit anything!"
I already solved this problem in version 1.2.0!
I'll be happy to play again!
Other improvement would be to space the floor levels out abit more. As in currently the floors feel to close together. If you made the gap between bigger, it would allow you to utilise built up speed better and make it more exciting as you try to pull off crazier stuff!
Great stuff! Keep making new games and improving :video_game:
The controls feel fine and are responsive. Diving down is super cool! Colliders could use some work, as you can die from basically brushing your foot next to the ground tile, and that doesn't feel right.
I would also recommend changing the level transition to something more like a hole in the ground (a well maybe?). Diving head first into those floor tiles does not feel right either
Very nice concept and good execution.
Great job! Also, i'm curious. What engine did you use to make the game?
