Doomino's Pizza by Ryfi
Doomino’s Pizza Delivery is a short game about delivering a pizza to Satan. The theme was “deeper and deeper” and what’s deeper than the underworld itself?
Loosely based on Dante’s Inferno, travel deeper and deeper into hell, running, jumping, and dashing through nine short levels. Face off against vicious bosses, sneak past hungry demons, and dodge falling pineapples all the while keeping Satan’s pizza fully intact!
The game features an original soundtrack composed by the talented William van Brennet. Each level has its own unique sound, so you’ll be able to jam out the whole time. Journeying through hell has never sounded this good.
All levels are unlocked and skippable, so if you get stuck you’ll be able to play the rest of the game with no issues, (The game is hard! There's no shame in skipping ahead) but we’d encourage you to start from the beginning to get the full experience!
This game is the product of 72 hours of work for Ludum Dare 48. Enjoy the game!

Still, I think the various hints around the game on how to approach challenges were absolutely peak game design, 10/10
congratulations on the game, he is cool.
PS: I couldn't deliver the pizza, the game is very difficult too hahaha
I, uh, might be *stupid*, though, because I couldn't figure out how to beat the harpy level. Like when I picked up the broken heart and it flew away, some hearts went across the bottom of the screen and I died? Like I may have died to a projectile and not realized it, but it still left me pretty confused.
I agree with a lot of the suggestions given here, to add to them: at some points you demand precise platforming from the player, however the jump you give them has no variable jump height, so a lot of the time you are hovering over the platform waiting to descend. If that's your intention, then great! Otherwise, I'd suggest tapering off the jump as soon as the player lets go off the spacebar.
I'm glad you liked it! I handled a lot of the writing so it makes me happy to hear that you found it amusing.
The hearts across the bottom are supposed to prevent you from just camping on the floor, and to make the fight a bit harder. We probably needed to do more difficulty playtesting, based on these comments lol. They appear after you damage the boss with one broken heart.
I'm glad you liked it. We probably should've scaled back the difficulty, but my sense of how hard the levels were was getting pretty biased after I'd been playtesting them for a while. I could've sworn we do have a variable jump height, but it could be pretty finnicky. Regardless, I appreciate the feedback!
Thank you for your feedback! It's nice to hear that you enjoyed it. The dialogue skip is something we definitely would've implemented if we'd had more time, because I think you're absolutely right! It ended up being somewhat of an oversight on our part, but oh well... Hopefully it wasn't too frustrating...?
Also is it just me or does the level end sound effect sound like the samsung alarm?
Just wish the controls were a little easier to handle, I kept failing for dumb reasons.
Nice game!
I wish the controls were a bit easier to handle, and also that the Jump could have been another button (spacebar, perhaps even as a redundant alternative). Movement felt to me be a tad too fast as well.
