Nice job! The music fits well, if you could extend it a bit longer before it loops I think that would be a nice improvement. If I were better at the game I think I'd get tired of it before the end. The movement side to side feels good, but I wish I had a bit more control with the up and down, it's definitely more difficult than it looks to navigate those tight spaces and the hitboxes feel a little bigger than expected. When you lose a life it would be nice to start again with full oxygen. I'd also recommend renaming gems->pearls since that's what they look like! Thanks for sharing your game!

Thanks for the feedback @steven-c and @samguy! The music is a bit short because I'm not really a music guy so I just kind of banged something out until I heard something I liked lol.

I would imagine a bit more catch ambient music, but as always, it's a JAM, at least runs! :D It's aint that easy though and hard to decide if I'd like to swim up or not.

Fun and challenging, glad to see more people joining the godot family. Lots of good ideas here and I'm sure you will only keep improving.

Very cool game ! the controls side to side and the text placement are very intuitive, and the music is a bit chaotic, I love the tense it give to the game. Maybe the hitbox seem a little too big. But it's a nice game overall :)

Jazzy music! Got to 370m before finally I ran out of air (and no bubble nearby). Not bad, the swim mechanic could be a bit more responsive, I crashed into spikes several times because one "swim" keypress moved me too far. But nice game nevertheless! (And Godot! Yeah! )

Really cool game, just maybe some more speed to the player, and make jump more efficient.

Great game! I have never seen an underwater platformer(?) game before. I like that oxygen is scarce and a bit hard to get, making the game challenging.

Congrats on your first LD and a job well done :D
I'd say this is a solid entry ^^ Nothing is hard to understand and the controls may be a little stiff but they don't get in your way so it doesn't really matter. Could become better with some additional types of challenges but I understand that there's not enough time to do everything during LD :)

And I also don't have a clue how I'm supposed to be able to bring the treasure to the surface :D
