I have no idea what I'm doing, but it won't stop me by limbo

made by limbo for Ludum Dare 48 (JAM)

hey guys, this game is bad.

But I wanted to upload it here for myself, to have a point of reference in the future, to (hopefully) one day see my own progress.

Ok, I've decided to man up a bit, and give some feedback to get some feedback. Otherwise, how can I learn?

What do you mean? This game isnt bad and it even has a catchy name! The cotnrols are smooth, the sounds are nice and the artstyle is really nice as well! I love the cats expression when its idle!

Give youself more credit, you should be proud of this.

It is very nice! Had some issues with audio but felt more like it was on my side. I really liked text on the background especially how ice cream to life ration explained. Very good job!
Can I actualy get into the portal?

The art is actually really good, and I loved the background text! My only issue is that sometimes I'm dropping too fast to read it, and have to climb back up. I played twice, first time I dropped below the portal and wasn't able to catch the text below the portal. Second time I managed to enter by the side and got the end screen. I liked the end theme too!

The idea is good, the graphics and sounds are very nice. The game itself for some reason did not fit well on the screen, the gameplay is a little dry, but overall a pleasant game) Continue and it will be cooler :D

So I'm still not entirely sure if I missed a link in an ARG or you really are a new game dev :stuck_out_tongue:. But hey if you got this just based on a udemy course, completing a game jam is really difficult and you made a pretty finished product in a really short time. Don't be to hard on yourself.

I think its really fun and funny :D i just wish it was longer. Did you make the art yourself? if so its very beautiful.

Oh, yes "the art" is easy. The coding part is the hard one.

This was extremely well done! Good job! You really are way too hard on yourself. The graphics were very well done. The game was enjoyable to play. The sounds and the music were on point.

Suggestions: make the font different so your messages are a bit easier to read. Also, my cat kept falling past the finishing part where the harp is and I couldn't read the messages because it was falling too fast.

This game is actually better than some of the other submissions out there. Be proud of yourself that you submitted this. Now you know where your starting point is and you can just improve from here! Well done.

Well, you've made a platformer, so there's that! I keep working with other simpler 2D formats due to time. Anyway, congrats on using a course to help build something and at least get it launched!
