I'm sorry about crash, I really don’t have enough time and I’m too sleepy to find the problem.
This Sunday and Monday are working days for me, and because of work overtime. I usually get home at 9 o'clock and work at jam until 2am.
My partner is in a similar situation to me.
In addition, due to the first participation, I did not make a good plan. Wasted some time.
Some gameplay mechanisms have been designed, but there is no time to implement them.
Anyway, this is an unforgettable experience, thank yours again for playing, this make our works has meaning.

received the problems
you get. This is a good experience for us and I believe we can do better next time
- You've added some music/audio at your first jam, well done! There are a lot of games without audio, it makes the difference;
- Unfortunately the game crashed to me too (3 times). You can bugfix even after the jam ends (even today or tomorrow). I would like to try to reach -300mt;
- The game seemed a little bit "linear" and out of my control. Sometimes I losed at the beginning because I didn't found any gold;
- You should try and rate more games to gain more visibility (so more people can try and rate your game) and more experience for the next jam.
Good luck with the ratings! There is plenty of time to reach 20 ratings and to enter the ranking.
Thanks very much, theses suggestion is very useful for me, and all new hands. Wish you got a good rank.
I fixed the bug.
The graphics and the music is very nice and cheerful! A really nice game!
The graphics were very nice and they looked great for a jam game! It was all very clear and easy to read too, which is always a great thing to see in a game. Some animations or more movement to the graphics would've been good, though, since right now it does feel a bit flat - that doesn't mean it's not a nice looking game! The way the music changed between levels was an interesting feature, so that was cool.
It was a fun game, all in all, so good work on it!
I did not understand what the skills are for, i just hired the cheapest guys and mined my way down. Is it just not fully implemented or did i do it accidently right? In the end I didnt even feel like it would have made a diffrence if I would have just sticked with the 3 guys i bought at the beginning.
Overall the game is interesting and the experience was good but I think you could have left out a few things and then focus a bit more on polishing or adding more variety to the basics, a simple polished game is alot better then a game with lots of/complex gameplay mechanics but also having lots of bugs.
Btw I'm not sure adding an ending is really useful in this game, I got it when I did not expect it, but I would have played a little longer if it had not appeared.
Regarding the game itself - it wasn't very clear what I need to do. I knew that I had to reach 300 meters, but I didn't really know how. I figured it out by hiring people and clicking on buttons, but a tiny little tutorial would be helpful.
I applaud you for the courage of choosing this type of game for this jam, because I think it's very difficult to balance games like this. It simply consumes a lot of time and effort to tweak everything in a way that the game has the right difficulty.
Unfortunately, it shows here - the game is too easy. Nothing stops me from hiring all the employees, and thus improving my efficiency all the time, because I always had enough money. I had a simple strategy:
1. hire everyone I can afford
2. dig until I have no money left
3. go back to the surface
4. repeat from step 1
Maybe there should have been a bigger cost for digging? Or maybe some random "disastrous" events should be happening? Maybe employees should leave after a while because they don't earn enough money? Basically, there should be **something** which makes things more complicated for the player. Otherwise, the game quickly becomes boring.
I think there is a lot of potential here, but there are a lot more things to be done in order to make the game work.
That said, this is still impressive for such a short amount of time, good job!
Good job :slight_smile:
Could use some balancing, as right now it seems that whatever you do, you will win :). Maybe introduce some possibility of complete failure of an expedition (maybe a cave-in?) / loosing workers (in accidents for example) / cursed relics that will decrease some of your stats - just some ideas of possible obstacles :)
