After trying to uncover an alien conspiracy you've been forced under-sea in your submarine with a robot for company. It's time to hack into the CIA's mainframe and prove once and for all that aliens do exist!

Computer hacking gameplay that includes: - 5 different hacking minigames! - a friendly robot buddy! - an alien conspiracy! - a submarine console inspired by pre-rendered 90s game backgrounds! - a cool green computer!

Break through the multiple levels of CIA security by hacking through each level. Minigames use both keyboard and mouse. Controls should be clear but you'll need to use:

  • Mouse + Left click
  • Left/Right arrow keys and Space key
  • Number keys 1-4

Thanks for playing!

This is utterly charming. I like the sorting mini-game. The type-to-hack was ENCHANTING the first time I did but unfortunately got a little boring on repetition.

I did enjoy the presentation greatly, and I love wacky themes. it did feel a bit off theme for the prompt.

I loved this. I am a real sucker for minigames and this worked in a pretty funny story over the top of its minigames so thats extra cool. Your background music was really quite enjoyable to listen to (especially when the robotic GOOD JOB came in over the top of it). I will say I wish the use of the mouse to advance the text wasn't necessary as I always felt a little worried that I was going to suddenly need to use my right hand for the arrow keys rather than the mouse. Other than that this game was really good.

Thanks for the feedback everyone!
@abigailcorfman yes haha, it comes up 4 times which hopefully isn't too annoying. We were trying to get the balance between novelty/length right which was tricky to balance.

@theseusinabottle I think we could have made the controls a bit clearer / easier to switch between. You can advance the robot text with the keyboard though!

I made sure to scam the baby everytime, even if he did remember people's birthdays.
Fun game! Each minigame was enjoyable, and it had some pretty good humor. Nice work!

Wow, what a unique experience! And soooooo stylish! The background reminded me of the games of my childhood with prerendered backgrounds. Really nostalgic! The mini games where fun and the humor on point! You really nailed the whole presentation!

I want to make a counterpoint and say I immensely enjjoyed the hacking, even the fourth time around! I don't get how mindlessly hacking the keyboard and see text appear can be fun, but it sure is!

Nice little game. The diversity of gameplay mechanics contributes to keep it unique and fun all round (though it could have been nice to add more variations, for instance adding more bad and good actions for the employees :) ). Strangely my favorite was the hacking one! The deeper and deeper theme holds in the scenario, but is quite discrete after all. Graphics, audio and humor are truly enjoyable. Thanks!

A simple concept, but with a remarkable execution! The premise of the game is already bizarre, but it keeps on giving fun dialogs, surprising ideas, silly details… Each mission is a joy to discover! On top of that, the sound design is also really effective. Good job!

By the way, this is one of the best visual representation of a Trojan Horse I've ever seen. This character deserves recognition.

Fun game, with a unique mechanics, with beautiful and interesting graphics, with a fun story and a good twist plot, man, easy one of the best. And I really liked the prancing horse

That was a fun little game with a nice little story. Unfortunately I couldn't quite figure out what to do with the files on levels 6 and 7.

Dear god that's one of my favourites for sure! I love the story, gamepelay and graphic, ti's really immersive, fun and super polished (and it's visible it was playtested a lot, like with this "use your keyboard!" part with the firewall). I loved the hacking a lot and the ending was amazing.
Also my PC crashed right after I finished the first hacking. I had mini heart attack that thr game is SO IMMERSIVE that Id does stuff like that xD

@flying-dog-fish Ah, sorry about that. Perhaps we should have put more info in like some feedback about which files you want. You need to click+drag the folders from the top window into the bottom and avoid the mine icons. Thanks for your feedback!

Such a nice adaptation of the theme, and it the graphics reminded me of old Metal Gear games with the UI and graininess of the camera, great job!

What a great game! I loved the humour and the gameplay was really fun. The music worked well and I thought the graphics were great, reminded me of the classic Fallout Pip Boy  Awesome job!

Great game, the mechanics that are constently re-used are getting old (like the tinder one) but I had a great time playing it, and the music slaps !

Wow! Interesting how you managed to reuse the minigames while not making it feel repetitive. Here are the notes I took while playing:

- Really nice graphics, 2000s CD-rom game vibes
- Fun music
- Accidentally skipped all the dialogue while changing the volume (pressing the volume up button counted as multiple key presses for some reason)
- Scamming only bad people was really funny
- Nice final boss although easy

So yeah this is a straight up great entry! The volume thing I think was just my PC messing up, aside from that it was all good.

Amazing mechaninc, very good graphics and sounds. The horses face and the kidnapper baby were the best of the game. I really felt that I wasn a hacker oh the 'type' part! Good game =D

It's a pretty fun game, though I think the typing part was a little overdone. I was hoping after the second one that typing sections afterwards would require fewer keystrokes as a "show" of how our hacking proficiency increased, especially since it's basically impossible to fail anyways.

This game was a lot of fun, the dialogues are great and the character on the screen is charismatic and hilarious. The mini games were a great touch and repeating them while adding other mini games was a nice take on the theme "deeper and deeper". Great job!

I really enjoyed the polish on this one! It's not often you see a jam game with such a well-defined beginning, middle, and end. Honestly it felt like y'all had all the time in the world to make this, which is awesome!
