Really fun game. I liked the graphics. The 3D models were really good. Also It has an original concept. Great job :)

I did not understand how to interact with anything and the lack of any sound and explanation made me give up after a few minutes

The level and characters were really cute, I liked the switch between first and third person (and the little window at the bottom showing first person) - I got confused as to what my objective was, I think possibly the patterns were different for aliens? or the alien part wasn't implemented :) Probably worth adding a bit to the description explaining the controls / mechanics.

The character texture painting turned out pretty cool too, it works really well with the detection device idea

Make sure to link your source code too! And worth explaining which assets you made yourself vs used from free assets so people can rate graphics appropriately!

@stuffedgravy Thank you for your feedback. The description has been updated accordingly.
The aliens are implemented and were in the game from the first day build. But the photo mode HUD was bugged.
We have uploaded a new build to correct this bug. It should be easier to understand what to do now.

The separation from moving to taking pictures really threw me for a loop. I found myself wishing to navigate entirely in first person, despite the lil inspector dude being very cute. I wish there were other tells for seeing that a person is infected so that I didn't have to check every single person to confirm a suspicion.

My comment will be negative, but hopefully you'll see that as useful.

There are some usability issues, for example why choose P to go in photo mode, when it's a key on the other side of the keyboard ? Why not just E ? The camera pan was very slow, to the point of not being usable for me. Why not just keep the camera centered (without any pan controls) on the character and go to photo mode with the right click ? Why do I need to keep the mouse pressed to look around in photo mode ? In addition it conflicts a bit with the fact that it changes the texture if you press it while looking at somebody ? Why do I have to exit photo mode to turn around and scan behind me ? Why do I have to scan with different textures to detect aliens (I get why, but it's not interesting) ?

The first time I exited the game, it didn't exit properly (it was still running in the background), and now my Windows mouse cursor is big and I can't seem to make it back to the normal size. I guess I'll have to reboot or something.

Really cute character, well polished game and interesting idea! Nice work on that, and if you keep working on this project, it will be a amazing game, i'm sure of that.

But as @thebmxeur said, some things could be improved, like the lack of sound, the movement of camera - it is too slow - and for sure more instructions.

Have to say, my game became much more confusing then yours, but i'm working on that too!

That been said, the game have much potential and i liked the ideia and the art style very much. I would like to play an update and will be waiting ansiously for that. Congrats on the good work and my best regards.

@thebmxeur @lrvstudios Thank you for the feedbacks. Well, you know gamejams, not a lot of room for playtests ;)
We're aware that the audio doesn't work. Also we had to cut out a couple of other features because time was running low. We will probably do a version post jam :D
Thanks to everyone for prizing the Art. @uiopman and @camille-000 are the culprits behind all that cutness.

I am not sure i understand how to play correctly - is there something the player is supposed to do after finding the aliens, or is it just a 'find them all' type of deal?

In any case, it seems that the core loop of going to each villager and scanning them on each of the depth settings seems a bit tiring. Maybe if you decide to expand upon it, the camera could scan all villagers it sees at once (and maybe settle for just one or two 'depth' settings instead of 4?)

I really liked the art though.

visually this was great, i struggled with the gameplay. i felt like i scanned a lit with no outcome, maybe a few extra aliens or less scanning required.

Good job doing a 3D game in such a short amount of time! The game looks really nice! The base gameplay is a nice idea, but as it was said above, 4 layers of scan is a bit too much considering that there isn't that much of aliens (I think), which can be a bit boring at long. But nonetheless a nice entry :)

This game looks super cute and seems really ambitious for a jam game. The mechanics are interesting but the whole game feels a bit slow and I am sure there was an idea for something to happen once you find an alien, but for now it is just this marker and nothing else. I see a lot of potential here! Some smooth jazz music and some nice sound effects would also help selling the vibe of this game!

Really well done!

Game has a nice art style and great level design, but I found the overall direction of the game hard to follow, I had trouble figuring out what to do. I found the concept of the game and features very unique overall a nice game to play.

Nice idea and generally a nice game, but I couldn't find any aliens :)
Some music and sfx would have been nice. Otherwise good submission, keep it up!
