The Super Futuristic Shrinking Veterinarians by jogy34
Game
Play as a robot that can shrink down inside of a cat to cure its disease. Play through three different levels to complete your mission.

How To Play
- WSAD to Move
- Spacebar to Jump
- Right Mouse Button to Aim/Charge
- Left Mouse Button to Fire
- The aiming is a bit off, the reticle is a rough approximation
- The higher the charge the more damage it does, the faster it goes, and the larger the projectile
- Esc to Pause
⚠ Important Information ⚠
This is some Additional information based on feedback. Some of these should have been explained, or at least much more obvious, in the game. Others are information about issues with the game that don't work the best.
- There was supposed to be a cutscene at the beginning that shows you shrinking down and going inside a cat but I didn't have enough time to actually make that. That's what the aesthetic is supposed to be though.
- Level 1:
- The purple things (which were supposed to be bacteria) cannot be killed. They were also designed so that you have to be careful about how you get past them. Just repeatedly running through won't work unless you are crazy lucky.
- Two of the three jumping sections don't line up precisely and can get out of sync easily so you may need to wait a few cycles before it's possible to make it through.
- There are two overall ways you can go to get to the end. When you reach the blue/green thing walk into it to proceed.
- Level 2: There are multiple stages of attacks of the boss dependent on the health of the boss.
- Level 3: A lot of people seem to be struggling with level 3. This should have been mentioned in the game but you need to Hit all 5 of the purple RNA strands. Using a full charge makes them easier to hit. You cannot destroy the blue ones.
- There also isn't anything after level 3 so if you're struggling, you've seen everything so feel free to just close the game
- The aiming/shooting has issues. If you are too close to an enemy you may not be able to hit it.
Tools Used
- Unreal Engine 4 (C++ and Blueprints)
- Visual Studio 2019
- Blender
- Abundant Music
- ZzFX
I was hoping to get to it but I ended up not having time for proper cut-scenes, animations, or VFX

Fast forward intro text?
Change AA to FXAA?
Disable SteamVR and Oculus plugins; they start when I start the app and cannot be shut down
Draw crosshair at the screen's true center and use a raycast/line trace to change the angle of projectiles?
Other than that, good job man! Sounds, music, and models are all good for the 48 hour period.
My wife is a vet and she seemed to think the science was a little off but I think it was basically what she does every day.
Overall a good game.
Next step would probably be polishing the user controls a bit :)
The shooting was a bit off, but I enjoyed the game as a whole. Good job!
All that said, this is a cool entry for compo, good job!
Not always clear on what was going on (like what I had to do, what was ennemies and what was not), but thanks to the sounds I eventually understood :D
I think I m a s t e r e d the level2/bossfight haha
Great job on doing all this in 48h, loved the overall graphical mood
