Duuude I really like the music :D The gameplay was fun, found it interesting how you combined a side scrolling shooter + platforming.

This was fun! Having to alternate between "melee" and "ranged" attacks gave this some more depth (no pun intended..) and the music was great,

I made it to the Congratulations screen! I really like how shooting down causes the character to hover, and the music is great.

I've played your previous Ludum Dare game and it was one of my favorites of that jam! I liked level design of that game and this one has some similar take in some areas.

I liked parts of the game that should be explored to move further. For example, that I can fall down on angles, but not on the red ones. There is no clue for that. And it was interesting. My favorite part when you should strike down to move through the short tunnel of spikes.

I played the Downwell and the main difference is that Fallen Angle is not procedurally generated. That is why there is some moments that you should memories walkthrough. I just like that with the help of your game I could spotted that moment.

My only complain that I played Downwell and Fallen Angle is far too similar if you added some crazy mechanics it could make the game more memorable. For example, you could remove the shooting mechanic at all or leave only 2 or 3 ammo. The community of Ludum Dare is really friendly and if you made something that is not interesting it would be great too, because you'll gain new experience and we still will be happy to play your game.

@nethead @substr @jk5000 @fdk @boxedmeatrevolution @borabee Thank you very much for the feedback! It was my first time creating music and pixel art so it means a lot to me that you guys liked it <3

@susumu-asaga Você tem toda razão! Isso era um bug, eles deveriam ter apenas 1 de vida. Já arrumei, muito obrigado por apontar esse erro e por ter jogado meu joguinho xD

@dmitry-mozgin Wow, I'm really glad that you remember my other jam games!! You're right, I should've made it more clear that you couldn't stomp on ther red angels. I tried to draw some horns on them but they ended up being too small, so I turned them red haha, but it wasn't ideal for sure. Thank you very much for all the feedback!

I really disliked the music when I first started the game. But, surprisingly even to me, it grew on me, and now I can't get it out of my head

Gameplay felt fine and polished. Controls worked fine and were responsive. And that is really the most important part of any game of this type. Levels are good - not too hard to become frustrating, but not too easy to be beaten on the first try (at least, for me). I only wonder about two moments: in each level there is a point where there is a row (or two) of spikes. It seems like hitting them at least once there is unavoidable. Is that right or did I miss something?

It took some trying, but I managed to fall all the way down to hell.

I love the fact that when we use ammo it slows down the fall. The sound feedback is nice too. You made a simple game but really fun and challenging, good job for that !

PS: It would be great to be able to shoot up ;)

OH MY GOD IT'S A BLOOD-SPITTING DEMON :fearful:
I love the pace, the gameplay and the concept of the game. The art and music also appeal to me very much, reminded me of old Windows games. Super cool, I hope you keep working on it. Is there an end to the game?

@fabula-rasa It is possible to pass those rows of spikes without taking damage but I admit that you needed to master the controls almost perfectly for this, it is indeed too hard :p. Thank you very much for the extensive feedback!!

@gustavo-rocha Thank you, glad that you liked it :)

@lorwon Yeah, I tried hard to balance that hovering mechanic. Thanks for your kind words <3

@oune I'm happy that you pushed through the tough controls at the beginning!

@someone Thanks! I'm glad that you played until the end!

@barelyevengames I watched your stream and it was awesome to actually see someone playing my game, thank you very much for that! I'm very happy that you liked the downwell-inspired mechanics xP

@chacawott Thank you! I'm very glad that you enjoyed it

@j-kyle Thanks for the feedback, I'm happy that you had fun!!

@binaryprinciple I actually tried that route, but the player would be able to fly upwards instead of only hovering and it went against my design plan. I'm glad that you had fun with my little game xD

@pijamar I remember playing old Windows games when I was little, so your comment means a lot to me, thank you very much!! Sadly I was only able to make those two levels, but the plan was to create Heaven, Purgatory and Hell, with a boss fight against Satan at the end haha

Glad I finally got to play a Downwell type game. Loved the music, the balancing felt pretty great, but the obstacle sections felt a bit strange. The horizontal challenges seemed a bit hard due to the low ceiling, and the occasional slopes were very easy, maybe some acceleration mechanic could have changed that. The theming was on point and overall pretty fun to play!

- Really liked the game audio really cool
- I liked how you had to squash the angels and kill the horned
- The jumping was a bit strange but I found you can jump with up arrow too.

Nice game!

It felt a lot like Downwell, but with enough difference to make it interesting. The one I like the most is that you decided to handcraft the level, imo it feels way better than if you had a bad procedural generation like so many other games rush toward.
The level design is well done, the mechanic fun and easy to understand.
The music is fantastic!

What does the changelog means? Did you change the game post jam? Health and ammo tweaks don't feel like bug fixes to me, maybe you should give people access to two distinct versions (Jam for rating and post-jam for fun).

Thanks for the game I had fun!

Really fun game! I like the mechanics and I thought the music was fun and kept the mood light especially as you play as a demon going down! I liked the art and overall really great game! Nice job and thank for the entry!

Game was a lot of fun, the dualaity of the enemies make the game simple to understand but also quite challenging. I do think the graphics could have been spiced up very easily with some particle effects, background, and some screen shake. Overall, great work!

Neat game! It reminds me of downwell. I like the music. I recognized "undefined01.ogg" as one of the instruments... the one that just goes "you lose". An odd choice, but your music made it work well!
