Written Review: Great! Graphics look nice, sound effects are nice and whimsical, overall mechanic is fun. Only gripes are the music being loud, and just how dark it is. Maybe the lanterns could light more? Great job!

Both the art style and music are amazing! The only complaint would be that I really wish the cart would go faster as most of the time I mine all the gold and light all the candles and I had nothing to do but wait. Nevertheless, a good job with the game!

This game is innovative and funny. I also liked the audio. One thing I would criticize is that switching between tools was not reliable, as it did not cycle through the 3 tools in a predictable fashion. Whether this was intentional or not, I would play-test with that mechanic behaving predictably and see how that changes gameplay.

@aditon Hmmm that's strange, the tools are supposed to always cycle like this: lantern, pickaxe, hand in that order. It does so for me, if this is not the case for you did you try the windows or browser version and what browser to check it out just to make sure :D. Thank you everyone so much for your kind words and for taking the time to play and review my game!

Cute game, really nice aesthetics. I also had issues with the tool order, many times after the pickaxe I got the lantern, but I thought it's an (annoying) game mechanic until I read the comments :D

I used the browser version in Chrome Version 90.0.4430.85 (Official Build) (64-bit)

The gameplay is very original, I enjoy a lot playing, even when I lose all this gold T___T.
Great logo game too, terrific Job :D

Awesome entry, at first I spam clicked to break the ore not realizing axing the coins lost them, once I realized that I had to learn to me careful which was a pretty cool aha moment. The simple use of 3 tools was cool, they had to be used in tandum, although the hand feel a bit less interesting than the other 2 naturally, it made me think I had to pet the bird haha. Again awesome entry really fun and interesting

@ilprinny Petting the bird actually sounds like a pretty neat idea! Maybe post jam I can turn it another way to regenerate health or something so you have an extra thing to do if there is no ore to mine.

Great idea and beautifully presented. The music and sounds fit well. The one extra click when mining ore is deadly. I really like this one!

Really like the careful mining mechanic.

The webgl build has much slower cart for some reason.

Also, great job on the music and art.

Beautiful pixel-art! The game was fun but I found it really hard to not use the pick on the coins, causing them to fall as well :( Nice compo entry!

Nice job, I agree with the feedback on here in general, I really liked the mining mechanic where you had to be careful not to destroy the coin. Great music too!

A little buggy, as others have pointed out, but the art style was excellent and a lot of care went into the presentation! The music didn't quite match the mood but overall it felt like a pleasant, polished experience.

Took me a little while to figure out what's going on. After that I had a good time with it.

Love the mining and picking coins mechanic. Feels good to light up the candles too after finding out where they are.

The cart descends slowly which is great for me as I tend to not be very responsive when playing games, so here I can just chill and mine.

Maybe it would be nice if there are more things to do or interact with as the cart is descending.

And on the whole, really a great job! Wish I could make something like this for Compo too. I really like it!

Really pleasing aesthetics and sound, game-wise though, it needs to spawn a little bit more gold because as of now you lose even if you get all the gold available, but that's just a little tweak. Also, that canary breathes gold??? must a hard to mantain pet xD

Great game. I like idea and sound effects. Sometimes it is annoying how the coins fall down but I understand that it is part of the combination for the player
