I didn't make it too far, but the level did a good job of progressively introducing the mechanics. I think the signs should show their message when the penguin is in front of them, it took me a while to realize I had to move the mouse over them.
great job!
As a platformer, the hardest part is often the "physic" of the character, but the double jump, air control and speed is really well balanced, so congrats 'cause it is not an easy task!
- Too bad there is no audio
- I think the fishes we pick up shouldn't have collision, because they slightly bump us when we pick them and it can be dramatic! haha
- Maybe some checkpoints?
- I had some times a small bug, when dying, the game wasn't "reset" really well (the first fish wasn't there, and dying a second time made it appear again), so nothing serious :)
Anyway, I had fun playing it, I'll give it another try to learn the map by heart! haha
Nice job! I would have preferred to be able to jump with up or w, but that's a pet peeve of mine. Overall, nice work!
And yes, I do think audio would have been nice, but as we were working on it we ran out of time. We originally had plans for checkpoints, but... yeah. You mentioned the game not resetting properly, and honestly I have no idea why. Anyhow, thanks for taking the time to review our game!
Keep up the good work!
