Send Help by Rocket and Blanky

[raw]
made by Rocket and Blanky for Ludum Dare 48 (JAM)

Help_Cover.jpg

Help is a game where a man battles against his depression as he tries to make his way out of the house. He needs your help before he sinks deeper into depression and goes back to bed. Use WASD to move around, mouse to look, click to interact, and press Esc to quit.

This was our very first game and as such, very first game jam! We both bit off more than we could chew but we pulled it together in the end. We're happy to call this a functioning prototype! Rocket is credited with the majority of the programing. Blanky was responsible for the 3D art and animations.

We hope you enjoy, and help the poor man out! Feedback and criticism is very appreciated!

Short game, but it took me a few tries to beat it. The keys were the hardest to find.

Good interpretation of theme! It wasn't immediately possible to get out of the house, the keys took time.

Nice work! Simple but still gets the feel of an exploration puzzle game. The BGM is one of my favorite :D

Hey! We made a game about depression too.
I made it to the exit, but those keys took some time.
Really liked the idea of small deeds

good job guys. nice simple game. took me a few tries but I eventually got it. The mood felt good, controls felt good. noticed a few collision issues in the kitchen with the oven and counter. Maybe missing some colliders? Music felt good as well.

Very short but very moody game. Controls were fine, maybe the movement speed was a bit too high. Graphics are nice and the music created a very nice atmosphere. As others already mentioned, the keys were by far the hardest thing to find.

That was deep. Not too involving gameplaywise but gave me hope.

Short and sweet. With a bit more time I'm sure this can become very depressing with better assets. I would have personally preferred the character to be a bit further away since it was hard to tell what I was doing and maybe a crosshair for interacting.

I gave this high marks just for the use of "Maybe later" as the exit button! Great work.

Music, Guy, Items, and Early Onset Exhaustion.. These are the ingredients to start the perfect adventure.
