A very nice game. I died trying to go too deep so the Theme is 100/100 respected.
The sound is good but I think it miss a musical or ambient background to avoid emptyness when you try to go deeper.
Very good Job !

The game is fun and the graphics pretty, there is a bug on the background on HTML5 line between tile. The design of the game is good, the shop opened when you go to surface good idea, the camera effect give a good sensation of speed and is good for exploration. Nice work !

Nice game, would be great if there was a soothing/relaxing background music, but still respectable nonetheless.

I enjoyed this a lot. I bought everything in the shop :) The feel felt on point. The icons took me a few minutes to understand. Didn't know which was fuel and which was inventory.

I really like this game.
- The core gameplay is simple, but it can still be a little trick to pick up items when you go fast back to the surface.
- I like how the inventory is represented by a bar, instead of normally a grid.
- The upgrades work well, it reminds me of incremental games.

Great entry!

Simple gameplay, I dig the hand drawn submarine. And thanks to upgrades I spent with this game more time I would admit :) Funny little game!

Brilliant, it's a classic format that you executed really nicely, I've always enjoyed this type of game. You added a few really nice pieces of polish that made it special like how the fish swim away from you and the way the fish change at different depths and the way the dial spins when you are approaching the ocean floor. Perfect compo game.

I can't resist a good upgrade game...

There's a few cool things you did compared to other diving/digging games. I liked that the shop could be brought up anywhere in the world and it wasn't really a giant panel that took you out of the "immersion". Cat Goes Fishing does this as well - even though it's a subtle effect, it keeps you grounded in the world.

Each upgrade feels GOOD. They are strong and you can clearly see its effects immediately. No +10% power here.

I thought the ability to fly above the water was weird at first, but actually you can use this to your (slight) advantage. Once you get a strong engine you can pop out of the water and refill your fuel right as you dive back in. The momentum will give you an early speed boost. This barely has any real effect on gameplay but it was just plain fun to do.

A solid game, I played until I owned every upgrade. I'm not totally sure if there was anything beyond that but I'm sure I was close enough.

The general flow of the game played well, and each upgrade felt substantial enough to be worth collecting. I've enjoyed the pace of the progression I was making throughout the game, and appreciate how the game forced me to dive deeper and potentially make me take riskier choices over time. Also, good call on making the process of resurfacing not take any fuel at all: appreciate that gesture.

I did think the objective of the game was not clear. While the upgrade system is placed reasonably at the surface, due to the physics of the game, it's hard to *keep* the menu up to access it properly. It might help to pause the game on each resurface, or perhaps require the player to manually bring it up by having a button appear upon resurfacing, thus making the pause justified. It also felt bizarre that the collected items aren't recovered at once: it required me to wait on the surface. It would have been nice to show a list of things collected, and the corresponding price on the side bar instead. Other than that, my only nitpicks are presentation-related, e.g. music, sound effects, splash particle effects, etc. Would have also been nice to add more fish and varying AI. Cool stuff!

Hey yo.
Great game you got there. ;)
Funnily I've made something kinda similar to the concept of yours but not as expanded as yours. :D
The squiggily graphics kinda gives it an oldschool charme. :P
Great work. :)

The best game i've played during this LD so far. The game fits the theme well. Graphics looks nice. Controls and rules are intuitive. The only downside is the sounds. Great work.

Only gripe is that when I surface, it bounces back underwater. Would be nice to have it stop when it gets to the surface so you can refill oxygen easier. Otherwise, fun game, cute graphics. And nice trailer.
