As the newly-appointed prospector of the local mining company, lead your team to greater and greater riches deeper and deeper below the surface. Your miners will follow your instructions, but even the best worker gets tired and even quality tools eventually break! Spend some of your hard-earned cash on supply depots to install within your mine, or perhaps hire new workers to increase productivity. Can you strike it rich?

  • WASD/Arrow Keys: Move
  • Scroll Wheel: Zoom
  • Buttons/Number Keys: Select Task/Building
  • Tunnels can only mined horizontally; build a ladder on an open space to move down a level.

It's a cool concept. It took a bit of time for me to realize that you can have more than 1 pending job. My biggest criticism is that the gameplay is fairly slow. I think if there were ways to speed things up, it would be a lot more engaging to play.

visual scrollback and movement is ok. The digging is nicely made.

Cool to see a task management game in LD! I liked the game design but it was quite slow (as others have said).

Cool concept and loved the idea, took a bit to get into it though cuz the game felt slow :(

It was a really cool game. Sometimes, it would behave a little weird and the player would go to the top even though he had enough energy. Other than that, it was super fun.

The proposal is good, but the mechanics are a little difficult to understand, this would be solved easily by creating a small tutorial, the graphics are also a little weak, it could have post-processing and some extra textures.
But not counting those little negatives, the game is pretty cool!

I like the 3D-ness of it all. The character design for the miner is really fun, it kind of looks like a firework. But when I started playing the game, I couldn't understand how to play it, and the gameplay could be faster.

The movement was a bit wonky at times. I definitely think the rest of the comments here have made the point already, but the character moves really slow, and it dramatically makes the game less fun. I think the game could have some sound effects too, that would be fun. Nice work!

Nice entry, but maybe a bit too slow?

Lot of comments regarding the gameplay speed; my intention was that things would start slow and as you hired more workers the efficiency would increase (balanced by the size of the mine increasing) but it looks like it's not playing out that way for people.

Would you say this is more a case of the starting speed being too slow or it taking too long to increase it? If the starting speed were increased, are there any methods you can think of other than just increasing the potential size of the mine to allow hiring new workers to have a noticeable impact?

Thanks for all the feedback!

The worker seems to get stuck doing nothing quite often. The difference between building a ladder and digging a tunnel could be explained (or they could just be combined).

Nice compo game. Cute mechanics. As others said, it felt slow. It took me me sometime to use the ladder to dig down instead of using the _dig_ to go down. I think a bit of sounds would add a lot. Overall nice work!

The game has issues, but I still had fun trying it.

Nice game! It was a bit slow at times and buying new workers didn't subtract money, they were also a bit laggy once you got more than one, but I really loved the main character and the way the caves looked. Overall not bad!

The game looks good to me, but I don't understand how to move the worker downwards. I placed the ladders, but he just stands still. There aren't any sounds so I got bored, but the game could be really enjoyable I guess. As for a compo it is a great entry though!
