AND HERE'S THE GAME FOR YOU TO ENJOOOOY!
THANKS YOU GUYS FOR PLAYING THIS WAS SUPER FUN TO WORK ON

Hope you guys enjoy this! Was our first-ever game jam!
Highly recommend the latest build for the noted quality of life bug-fixes :)
We have limited changes to small movement of prefabs and adjustment of variable settings primarily to prevent players getting stuck due to bugs and also increase comfort while playing. (No completely new lines of code!) For a complete list of things which were tweaked, see below:
changes (4/27): - Added missing audio source mixer reference - Moved/added a few (3) objects on the level to prevent players from getting stuck unintentionally. - Rope segment length to 0.5f from 0.2f; disabled fixed joint (more stable, doesn't break as much!) - Dynamite explosion radius from 0.95f to 2.0f; fuse time from 5s to 3s. - Dynamite hitbox dimensions from (0.05f, .2f) to (0.4f, 0.7f) and disabled throw meter collider (oops!) - Included controls description in main menu text
changes (4/28): - Smoothing constant for camera zoom from 0.5f to 2.0f. (less nausea...)
Feedback so far has been awesome! Glad you guys have been enjoying this game! So we don't currently have any proper social media things set up, but if you enjoyed this game and would like to be notified if/when we try to expand it and develop it into a more fleshed out title, please let us know in this interest form, and we'll be sure to get in contact!
Cheers!

Innovation: Interesting idea.
Theme: It fits the theme because you had to go down with the helicopter
Graphics: I didnt like the graphics that much.
Audio: The sound effects were amazing.
Humor: A bit of humor from the audio.
Mood: IDK how to grade this one.
Overall: Interesting idea I thing the gameplay could have been less janky and art better but overall good job!
Fun entry! The physics are wonky but that is part of the fun!
Got stuck :) But really good! Great job!
I liked how simple the game looks and how interesting it is inside. My first thought were "Ok, that will be boring", but then there were some clever puzzles that changed my mind.
Great fresh start!
P.S. sound is amazing!
The **rope** mechanic was also funny, although it seemed kinda weird to control a helicopter through a cave.
Explosions :boom: are always good, Michael Bay approves .
:x: Sometimes the little man got stuck on top of the helicopter and it was very hard to get him hanging back. Also, on a few spots it's actually a bit hard picking up the dynamite because of it.
Maybe make it so that the helicopter can pick up dynamite as well? :bomb: :helicopter:
Good job and one more thing...
KABOOM

Fun setup, with the heli and 'dangling man' - would have loved to have use the man/corpse more mechanically :)
I encountered some rocks I could not seem to blow up :(
Good fun!

Optimal strat
I did get a bit stuck near the one part where you are suppose to chuck dynamite at some rocks so you can lower the giant rocks for the helicopter to move down. But it was mostly me working out the controls; overall solid game!
EDIT: The Windows executable runs great under Wine! This game is hilarious, it reminds me of phone games circa 2012, like Jelly Car. Physics are spazzy, but never got stuck, partly because I think the heli's hitbox changes when you change direction.
Also: "STAHP", lol. Also that the guy dies but it doesn't really do much. To be fair, he was just dangling there already =P
got to the end without incident. Not sure what kills the little dude since I abused him pretty badly and he seemed just fine.
Pretty fun!
There's some kind of Debug UI in the top left though, I'm not sure if that was on purpose
Could not quite figure out if I needed the guy alive. Eventually got stuck under some boulders, might be nice to have a suicide option to restart.
Can you play and rate my game too, if you find some time.
gameplay was fun and engaging, I have exactly 0 idea how I was meant to keep that man alive xD
That was the funniest sh*t I played on this jam, thank you!
I simply LOVED the sound effects. Very fun game, interesting mechanics, straight to the theme, and I think the graphics "makes a point" to the game itself. Great work!

That's a cool usage of the physics engine. The graphics are not that great but they're funny ^^ The game is not too short nor too long. Perfect timing :ok_hand: Great work! You must have had a good laugh during the jam

Good job!
My only complaint is the lack of an ending... I wasn't sure it was over when I reached the key, so I ended up going all the way back up and out. You missed a great opportunity for an easter egg there!!
Nice work.
A solid ending screen would be a nice touch as well.
Also, it's still possible to get the tail of the helicopter stuck in this cave:

Played this game on the stream. Really liked the mechanics. The rope was a bit too break-y, but it has been fixed in the revised version.
Super impressive entry for a first jam! Welcome to the fun!
I found the secret stash of dynamite , too.
If anything, I would like to see a fail condition (right now nothing happens when you die), and maybe a less cheesable rope implementation? Even now you can do the "push rope" cheese to maneuver the dude around. Check with the guys from [Orange Diver](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/48/deep-dive-7) how they implemented their rope! It seems to work a bit more cleanly.

Also, I mentioned the music was similar to something I had heard before:
Sweet Dreams, by way too many people. For some reason the youtube embed is kinda broken so here is the video ID: qeMFqkcPYcg
To be fair it doesn't sound much like it, but the dynamics of the vocals kind of sounds like your melody. (no idea if those are the correct music-y terms because I don't know much about that, hope you get the idea)
I really like how lenient you made the game; I can easily see someone making an alternate version of this game where if you hit the player against a wall too hard, you die and have to restart. But nope, no impact damage! and in fact, no consequence for dying at all, once I finally figured out how to do that! (well, maybe I missed a special "you win" screen or something). And yeah, that version of the game would be much worse IMO; the leniency in this game is perfectly suited for the vibe this game creates. feels like this could be a classic flash game. really nice work!

Art is, let's be honest, not very good. It would actually be better if you would go all the way with the hand-drawn pencil style you have going on with the helicopter (meaning, also make backgrounds and effects like that). It's the dissonance between the different styles that spoils the impression the most.
I'm not sure if it's a bug or intended behavior - but a dead guy can still throw dynamite. Maybe he is just that determined to get his keys

Great work, I would definitely play more of this with more levels + challenges!
