Diggurai by svyatozar
A 2d platformer made with Godot 3.3 engine. Digger + Samurai = Diggurai.
Hakuso accidentally fell down a huge cave. He needs to get out as soon as possible. Luckily he has a pick axe that he can use to dig. A pick is not enough though: jumping skills will be required.
Controls: left, right, up=jump, space=dig.
Please note that it's my first time exploring the 2d-platformer genre. I've done 3d platformer games before, but not 2d. If you have any suggestions, please leave a comment!

The controls don't feel awesome and right from the get go I had a hard time getting on to certain platforms.
You really need to give the player a sense of direction, I couldn't really tell where I was supposed to head or what to do other than just dig the block I could.
In terms of platforming, it's too easy to lock yourself in a location with no way to get back up, or simply fall out of the world into an endless abyss.

Thanks for submitting your game for me to play on stream yesterday! I uploaded the VOD if you'd like to rewatch the stream. I started your game at 1:12:50.
Love the music. It feels like a combination of games I have played in the past to strike up all sorts of feels as I feel trapped in this cave.
His design makes me feel like he is a boy scout
This game has a nice foundation to it. I do think that the difficulty could use a little tuning to be more "fair" without compromising the challenging nature you were going for, but I don't usually blame jam games for things like that since you had so little time to put everything together. Nice job!
