Root World by Nestral
This game is one of the worst games I have ever made. Couldn't finish the game in time for Compo. Most of the time was spent trying to implement fast rendering, though there are still some problems. That is one of the reasons, why the gameplay is so bad (yes, I know).
Anyway, in this game you control the tree roots, and your goal is to get as deep as you can. Controlling your roots costs minerals, which are blue tiles on the map. To collect the minerals, you have to hit them with one of the roots. The minerals will be sucked out over time. The amount of minerals in the tile is represented by its color (the more blueish color is, the more minerals) and shown in the bottom left corner.
Attractors, spawned with right click, attract nearby roots from above.
Good luck, trying to get the highest score!
Controls: - Left click: Split all roots in 2, costs 1 mineral - Right click: Spawn an attractor at mouse position that attracts nearby roots, costs 2 minerals - R: Reset

I deffinitly enjoyed it.
the unpredictibility of the directions of the roots when you split them got me enraged! I like
Well done!
