Thanks for the feedback! :)
The gem is actually close to the bottom of the world. In the game that inspired mine, there is an upgrade to locate the objective. Sadly, I didn't have the time to implement it. ^^'
And regarding ladders, it's purposefully a small amount. There actually is an upgrade to get more.
In both cases, I guess the tutorial could have helped to explain that better. ^^'
Also! I thought "slow walker" was the name of the upgrade, not saying that _I_ was a slow walker. I expected this upgrade to slow me down, and did not buy it. I wish I bought it earlier on!
I had a similar issue when submitting the game but had it fixed by tweaking a setting in Unity.
Perhaps there are still some cases where it doesn't work.
What browser did you use to try to play the game?
That said, I thought the game was nicely polished and I'm very thankful for the in-game tutorial. I'd much rather read something like that then have to pull up the LD page or read the Itch website to understand how to play the game. Nice job!
I enjoyed it a lot. good job
I think that a good little improvement on the game would be that the death doesn't delete all of the player's gold but just a high percentage of it, like 80% or something like that, so that it doesn't give the impression that we played "for nothing at all" when a dive end up in a destruction
Good job :)
It's hard to come up with improvements.. Perhaps the game could do with a graphics makeover, and maybe some more obstacles that, perhaps, make it so that you can't just make one massive ladder all the way down, would be cool. Also I was a little sad that getting the undergem stopped any visible sign of my money progress. I collected most of the valuables from the lower layers all in one go and was really keen to see how much money i ended up with, but getting the gem is ultimately the end and stops you from seeing your money.
Really polished game with a good vibe and enticing gameplay. Well done.
Congrats!
It's really interesting to put scale at the good time and think about how going up.
Gameplay simple and efficient I like it!
Thank you
I think the green "+x" number in the money area could be a bit bigger/more noticeable.
It took me a while, but I won! :D Fun game
