made by martijn for LD33 (COMPO)
You must kill the slime monster.

Since you are the slime monster, this means that to advance you must find ways to hurt and eventually kill yourself. Skewer yourself on spikes and run into caped heros to beat the game. Avoid powerups and do the opposite of what games have taught you.

Comes with a hyper-realistic slime simulator.

Wow! Best game I've seen so far. Cool way to use the theme.

Wow.
That was the first thing I said when I played the first level. I really like the idea of the game and how smooth everything works. And it also is fun to play!
Sadly I wanted to see more levels like the one where you have to jump down -> jump up -> jump down and get to the hero. Was a little bit tricky and added some kind of puzzle I guess. Liked it. Good job.

This is pretty similar to Mr. Karoshi in the way that it plays - it's a lot of fun, but the leve ldesign for this type of games is hard. While you seem to have formed a good progression (teaching the player mechanics as they level) I felt there was a lack of difficulty, especially towards the end where it should have been ramping up. That aside, the visuals are cute (love the particles everywhere) and there are some quite interesting mechanics in the game. Taking what you have and making more fleshed out levels would be a surefire way to make something incredibly enjoyable.

Absolutely great! Made me think of Karoshi.
The concept goes perfectly into the theme, and the game is good and well made!
Too bad there isn't more level...

A little easy for me. But I love the mechanics, the graphics and sound are awesome and most importantly, it's fun! Maybe you should keep working on it and add more levels.

Awesome. It has a really polished feel to it with music and sound effects being balanced, interpolation on size when stuff disappears. The level design is really good and it slowly introduces more mechanics as you progress, as it should. I couldnt complete it due to lack of time. The main negative is the theme, its just a skin, the players avatar could have been anything. All in all, very good!

Not a particularly original idea, but executed well and done with some interesting mechanics. I love the slime and blood effects, and some of the puzzles were really well made, especially the one with the hearts on the floor and spikes on the roof!

I like it. Feels like a full game. The idea is nice and some levels are very interesting.
I would like to see improvements at controls, because it was hard for me to put the monster below a portal

Pretty neat.
Good job explaining the various mechanics one by one.
I thought the jumping was a bit floaty at times, would be nice to be able to control the height.
Got stuck on the big slime level >.>

Great use of the theme and interesting to see how long it takes to adjust your mindset from what your instincts normally make you do in these games. The particle slime and blood effects were also a nice touch. One of the better entries I've played so far and couldn't stop until I finished, so just need more levels now :)

The slime particles are pretty cool. The game runs really smooth and the mechanics are good. I would have liked some of the levels to be slightly more challenging, but Good job.
