Fun game, very nostalgic with similarities to Motherlode :>
I do think the upgrades are a bit too costly, especially for a gamejam game.

Had fun! Got all the upgrades and tried to go down as far as I could. Sad I didn't get to the molten core of the planet but had a fun time regardless! Good job!

Good game, very fun to play. But the progression is a bit lacking. It was possible to create an impenetrable expensive rock that can only be drilled with certain upgrades

Fun little game, more upgrades would have been nice (once you get deeper you get much money but can't spend it anywhere). You have a sound bug when you respawn while drilling, but that ok.

Simple idea, but great execution!

We really liked this and managed to get all the upgrades. Couldn't find out whether there was a bottom to it! The graphics are cool and different types of gems were fun.

Had a lot of fun playing, the game itself has a vary high sticky factor, creating an itch inside you wanting to upgrade, progress and see how deep you can get and how fully upgraded drill will behave. Very nice job!

They might say to never dig straight down, but oh the shinies there are to be found! A sweet and addicting gameplay loop :D

Awesome yet simple game. I had a good amount of fun just mining around, and the mechanics and logic are well designed, specially liking the reduced sight idea. I have encountered an issue when breaking those $5 hard blocks, where the drill sound stopped to play before the block was broken. As a recommendation, I would have added some kind of progress indication for when breaking the block and some more progression. Nice little game to play to!

Fun "power creep" game! After I maxed out the upgrades, I wanted to see if there is a max depth - I assume it just goes forever! One thing though - the audio overlaps quite a bit.

I like the game, it was quite fun to just get all the upgrades within around 30 minutes. One piece of feedback I would have, is that I think that the blocks should have an indicator for how long it would take to break, because sometimes I had ended up overshooting where I wanted to go. Nice game!

I had a lot more fun in this one than I thought I would, so good work! I always loved those flash mining games, like motherlode, so I was bound to like this one. It was all very easy to understand after a bit, and I got into the flow of mining and upgrading after a while too. For what there was it was nice and enjoyable - though the problem I had was that there wasn't enough! The upgrades felt a little boring to me, and there wasn't much to do except mine through dirt and occasionally a fossil. The pacing felt off too since the upgrades were very expensive at the start, for not that much benefit, while at the end I was earning thousands from gems that I only could've collected if I was fully upgraded already. Some more substance to the game would've been really nice. Polish is another thing I'd mention; it did feel a little unfinished, but it is a jam game, so that's not the end of the world!

The art was pretty good too and I could tell what everything was quickly, which is always great! Some of the graphics did feel a bit rushed - the stone texture and shop menu particularly - but it still all worked together nicely. The sounds were also fine. The drilling noises were a nice little touch to add some engagement to the game, although some music would've been great too, since it did feel a little empty without it.

Overall, though, it was a solid game, and it had me hooked for a while - great work on it!

Seconding the Motherload vibes. I actually like that you can't move upwards, that makes sense.

Every minute or so I kept resetting to the surface. Is that a bug or some feature I didn't yet understand?

Fun game! I'd only add more minerals and maybe the ability to fly back to the surface where the player could tank fuel instead of this teleport mechanics.

Nice One! I had a lot of fun playing it.

It's a cool game! Speed is definitively the best attribute to upgrade.

In term of game balance : At first I was not sure about the balance of the differente tiles ( dirt is cheap to dig, it seems better than the dirt ore ? ) but deeper in the game it felt right. Going deep and finding the green gem is a direct "win". The game could be a bit longer with something at the very bottom (like something at the edge of the accessible with the fully upgraded driller )

it seems that there is the up key in the "intro" text but it does not do anything.

At first I thought the tank upgrade was the driller in itself (rather than the gas tank)

the sfx becomes annoying at larger speed. Maybe more variation in the drill noise.

the graphics are super polished!

Although I've seen too many games like this it's a pretty nice entry, the progression made me play it for longer than I probably should have (got all upgrades). Here are the issues I found:

*No audio of any kind
*Although graphics aren't meant to be great yours could have used a bit more care
*Given the entire thing was already tile-like you could have made tile-based movement i.e. one press to move and expend more fuel when you do so
*I'm assuming this is webgl being janky, but the game was really choppy and laggy and hurt the gameplay experience

Also, I really liked the fact that you cared enough to put rare minerals the deeper you go.

Great game. Easy to play and a lot of fun. I easily maxed out everything by digging up row by row first. Then i wanted to see what was at the bottom. Never could reach the bottom, but the jewels around there are worth more. Im assuming the green ones are emeralds. Why are they worth more than the diamonds. Are there other gems that i didn't find that were worth more. I like the graphics, sound, and fx. Controls were easy to use. Good job.

Nice little game! It was a bit short, I wanted to dig deeper and continue upgrading, but I understand how harsh is the timing usually. One thing you could've added is some end-game item very deep in the ground which you can find only if you spend 4 tanks of fuel. I really wanted to find such a thing once I bought all the upgrades! :)

It's not bad. I like the art and music. Although I feel that the concept is a bit basic, and I don't like that what you dig gets refilled. Good game tho.

Tons of fun, the core gameplay loop of a Motherload-style game is just so addicting  I kept digging further and further down trying to find an end - is there one!?
