I really liked how everything is introduced, with controls always on screen and good puzzle design. I especially love the puzzle teaching the turbo mode.
Art style is really good and all the little audio for feedback make the game feel very polished.
Thanks for the game 💕
Pixel art is cute and music really fitting.
The only thing that I can think of in terms of improvements is that the isometric style, colour choices and design come together in a weird way sometimes that make it difficult to see the floor spaces. So, a couple levels in, I found myself stuck at a puzzle because I couldn't see the tile in front of my player as free. Multiple times, I found tiles existing or being blocked where I didn't think they were because of shadows, lighting and plants. It's an easy fix with some testing, and it was a minor annoyance at worst.
That is very nitpicky though. The fact that that is the only thing I could think of when I replayed the game in my head means this is really awesome. Would love a post-LD release to play through. If not, I'll probably come back to this and show this one off.
Loved it!
I have to agree that it could sometimes be difficult to perceive tiles properly. I found myself suddenly realizing there was actually a free space right next to me a couple of times. Still, I actually really like the isometric style. I didn't have any trouble with it other than that.
Really nice work on it!
This could be a commercial game right away!
Here is my diploma:
!
Probably the best and most complete game I have played so far in this jam that can stand by its own rights, not just as an LD game. This could be a smash hit as a browser game. I have nothing bad to point out or any improvements to make, which says a lot. Congrats!
A very stellar entry all around, can't complain much about anything really. Amazing work!
It's a really nicely made game. The setup is funny, the puzzles are cool, if not overly complicated.
I like the art - it is pleasant to look at and consistent. And I would love to know what is the green creature staring at me from the closet!
Very nice work and an impressive amount of levels in a jam game!
The only thing that I didn't really like is the music. But that's more of a personal taste than anything else. The interesting thing is, I actually kinda liked it at the start. But it started to tire me after several levels. And I can't even say exactly why. Maybe too intense?
Anyway, really nice jam job :)
It was our sound designer's first jam and she's used to making... well, more intense stuff, so it might still be a little too much for some people, especially on a puzzle game. We're in love with her work in our team, so yeah it's a matter of taste too
Thanks again for playing!
I'm the artist and I'll probably try and repair all this "unclear space" stuff later on, thanks for the feedback. To be honest I can't wait to rework on it post-LD, thanks to all the amazing comments we got here
The music is packed and makes you want to dance. The level designer is to be congratulated!
great game!
Congratulations to the team.
one thing that really confused me was that i couldn't seem to do a "normal" vacuum even though i had 1 charge remaining. if one charge isn't enough to do the most basic technique, it just feels weird to me.
i think you could have taken the "eldritch hotel" theme a bit further, visually, the hotel, and the trash itself, seemed very normal.
overall, a very fun game!
Did you continue very far? The trash gets weirder eventually
