Thanks for all the feedback so far :) Yea we wanted to put more elements into it but since this was our first game jam and also doing all the stuff on our own(including the music and sound effects) we just couldn't implement any more functions ;)

Hello, thats a nice little game, with simple but nice gameplay, I liked it despite the fact that I really hate spiders. Good jobs for thys entry, congrats =)

Nice. The atmosphere was really strange and a bit scary (in a good way). I do think the projectiles are bit small and sizing them up a little would give things a bit more "oomph". Love the character expressions! The music is very simple but also gives the game a strange and unique atmosphere.

I made to 109. Starting seeing creepy crawelers in the darkness of my room, so it's very atmosphering.
I enjoyed the art style and calming gameplay. My recommendation would be biomes in the well with it's own enemies and maybe some of them can be killed with more than one stone. Beside that, I enjoyed it a lot.

Haha, glad you liked it despite hating spiders!! Thank you for playing!

@tomh1
Thank you!! Glad we could deliver a little bit of atmosphere (:
It was actually my first time doing music, so really happy to hear it helped the atmosphere instead of ruining it!

@binaryprinciple
We would have loved to add more enemies and Biomes, sadly time was too short for that but that was totally on our minds! Thanks so much for your thoughts and for playing!

I got a weird glich on the lights on the HTML5 version, I had to download the windows version.

The art in this game is amazing!! you did a great job, the gameplay loop is simple but effective, I love how the player face changes as more enemies crawl towards you! Great adition of the highscore, maybe make it automatic, so you don't forget to click the submit button (happened to mi twice xD)

Great job!! and btw the voice acting is top notch ;)

This is a neat, visually impressive game. Not a ton of complexity, but it was solid and it looked really nice. Good work.

Poor kid doesn't have enough money for a headlamp so he melts a candle on his head. Truly tragic. :(

Fun little game though. I accidentally died right away on my first play and had a score of 1. It gets really hectic very fast. Great work!

Nice little game, really like the atmosphere and the kid's facial expressions. Pretty minimal gameplay, but it's deceptively simple and the inclusion of highscores is a nice touch.

I did get some strange artifacts on the WebGL version in Chrome (Windows 10 PC), Idk if you can do much about it.

This game is extremely buggy! You see what I did here, ha? I'll be see myself out!

On a more serious note. Fun game to play, good job on the design.

A neat little game! Art style is great and the atmosphere works nicely. I wish there was more variation to the mechanics though and it's quite unforgiving when it's game over immediately when you get hit. But anyway, had fun with it :)

Fun game! I like the style of the graphics and the mood of the game. The music is nice, and the scream at the end scared me lol. The highscores didn't seem to load for me, but that's fairly minor. Good job!

@gorethumb @gullyngames Thanks to you :) The problem with the highscore system is just in the WebGL Version due to CORS policy control by the itchio webserver as it doesn't have a highscore database on a server with a SSL certificate. To see and send highscores you need to download the game and start it from your local machine (unfortunately). I guess next time when we're adding highscores we gotta buy a certificate ;)
