In Aquarius you will dive deep into the unknown depths of the mystical ocean at night.

You will find some fascinating stuff! You will swim with jellyfishes and a giant whale, you chase a swarm of fish, maybe you even find the hidden treasure!

Controls

  • Use Mouse to look around
  • W and S to swim forwards and backwards
  • Q and E to roll around forward axis
  • ESC to close the program

This was my first solo jam! :)

Everything is made from scratch: 3D Models, Shaders, Animations, Music, ...

Tools I used: - Unity - Blender - Krita - Ableton Live

This game is realtively heavy rendering-wise - my 2015 MBP goes Gif-Mode at some points If you are lucky and got a GPU you will however get a better experience :)

If there are any issues with the Build please make a comment and I will try to fix them :)

AWESOME GAME!! Congratulation! You really nailed the ambience, and the treasure was worth it. Plus the ability to roll really help to move around.

This is gorgeous! Incredibly immersive. I loved the layering of different streams of organisms as you dive deeper. Absolutely stunning, well done!

The visuals are awesome ! I only watched the video since I cant run the game in browser but this is really impressive.

I removed the WebGL build because there were some weird stuttering bugs going on that compleletly destroyed the experience :/ At first I thought it was a cursor locking thing but I guess its just some loading issues I was not able to fix.. I am glad that the video did its job :)

Damn, that is impressive for an all-from-scratch solo entry!

The combination of the visuals and the music was on point. Also bonus points for the movement, really fitted the slow fluidity in an ocean mood.

Really beautiful game! If anything, I wish the creatures reacted to me a bit more, I wanted to get on the whale's back!

You absolutely nailed the mood in this one. Thankfully I don't suffer from thalassophobia. Beautiful looking game. I wish it went on for longer but it's a beautiful experience for a jam entry. Great job!

Wonderful game! It's so peaceful. I love just swimming around and looking at jellyfish. The music is very nice and makes the experience super relaxing. Love the visuals. The message in the chest was super cute. Thank you!

Due to my motion sickness I can't play this kind of 3D games, but I watched the video, and everything in it is amazing! The music, the sea life, the movements. They all come together well. And the ending, this was just relaxing and immersive. Well done!

Very beautiful and atmospheric game. Very cool graphic, cool underwater effects. Good models, but I think not enough a whale sounds. Good work.

Not really a game, but looks very nice. The music was also good, however you might want to change the scale of the descending quarter notes in the background from a major triad to something that is more in line with the rest of the music. It isn't dissonant per se, but it doesn't mesh with the rest of the song and tends to stick out like a sore thumb. Just a thought.

Congratulations on the game, the feeling of being at the bottom of the sea was achieved, I really missed being able to explore, and I didn't get the same feeling of freedom from the video, in fact I felt very slow and unbalanced, I hope the project evolves, add other goals, and thus manage to attract a greater number of people to be playing your game, a big hug, and I await your feedback on my game I will be grateful.
