You've crash landed in the mouth of a frigid underwater cave network on Europa, the moon of Jupiter. Your only hope of escape is to retrieve the missing parts of your ship from the dark, winding, and dangerous tunnels below.

Explore procedurally generated caves, manage oxygen levels, upgrade your suit, avoid hazards and enemies, track down the parts of your ship, and escape from Europa.

Controls

  • E to interact or pick up objects
  • F to drop the last picked up object
Surface
  • A and D to move left and right
  • Space to jump
Underwater
  • W and S to move forward and backwards
  • A and D to turn left and right
  • Left Shift to dash forwards (uses oxygen)
  • Hold Q to blow bubbles (uses oxygen)

You can also see the controls in-game by opening the ship log on the left side of the ship

Known issues

  • Rarely, the cave entrance may generate as impassable. If this happens then hit escape, return to menu, and then start a new game - this will generate a new cave.

Tools used

Thanks for playing :). This is my fourth Ludum Dare, but my first time doing the Compo. I certainly felt the extra time pressure!

What an amazing idea, go 3d and you have the next Stranded Deep. My only issue with your game was the audio, that pulsing sound should have been a bit softer on the ears. Overall - Great game, well done

I loved the game mechanics and aesthetics. I didn't like the underwater beep thougt. All in all, a strong compo submition.

Very innovative idea. I imagine getting the switch between walking and diving was tricky, and you did it well. Good job!

Really cool idea with collecting the upgrades and going deeper. The background humming noise was a bit too loud, and I felt it was a little too easy to get disorientated and finding which direction the surface is in because of the screen rotation, maybe a little indicator could help with that? But overall great job!

Great idea and nice execution! I loved how the difficulty increased "naturally", that is if I became greedy and collected too many crystals, I started to get stuck

I would've loved a small indicator to show in which direction the base is, once I started going a bit faster, I lost all sense of direction.

Nonetheless a cool and engaging entry!
