Hadal Depth by RAC-Games
A turn based card game in which you embark on one of the deepest descents into the hadalpelagic trenches.
* Update: * We fixed some graphics & UI bugs in the current WebGL Version.

Gain more energy as you dive further into the depths. Beware of hostile creatures. Some of them might damage your ship. As soon as they cause a breach, try to repair it with a "Welding" Card. Look at the bottom left corner, to check for breaches.

After each turn, all cards in your hand will be discarded, so try to make the most of each round. At the beginning of each turn you will regain only 1 energy, so try to manage your energy between turns.
You can also regain energy by playing certain cards and selecting your ship.
Press the right mouse button to dismiss a selected card.

Important Note for the Jam Version:
You can actually deselect cards by right clicking

I never really felt challenged during the battles though, which was sad cause you can do some nice combos with your cards. Only the boss fight made me think more about what to do next. All in all a good entry!
It seriously has potential, nice gameplay, art is cool
It was kinda easy though - maybe make it a bit harder? Only died once, beat the boss first try
Just one thing: For the first couple of rounds I thought that the volume slider was a (somewhat broken) healthbar. May something could be changed to clarify what is what.
The art was pretty good. Enemies were properly creepy and the animations kept the game from being visually stale. The shading seemed a bit muddled, which is understandable given the setting, but the spotlights and such could have been a nice opportunity for harsh, sharp lighting.
The music was nice and atmospheric, if a tad grating. The rest of the sounds were a-ok.
Well done guys! Lets go!!!!!!!
Я люблю карточные игры. Это хорошая игра, хочется посмотреть на ее развитие! Спасибо ^_^
I liked the "draw X cards" cards as it was a nice risk/reward feature. The only bad thing is that you couldn't dismiss a choice, forcing you to skip a turn. Thankfully it isnt too punishing!
i also really liked the design of the last monster with all his eyes
Reminded me Slay the Spire but the gameplay is quite different.
I like how you need to manage your own energy and not only focus on attack.
Good job!
It has a lot of things that are better than other card games I tried in this LD. The simplicity of mechanics and possible interactions ensure there is no bugs or weird unexplained rules. The balance feels right even if the difficulty could increase faster. Visuals are clear and cards are easy to read.
Great job on making it work on android too!
A few notes if it can help you (windows build):
- The volume slider on the menu slides the map with it.
- The "mana / life" system could be explained in game, it is very intuitive for most players but maybe not for all.
- The targeting after selecting a card was not very clear for me at first.
- Is there a way to deselect a card? Sometimes I changed my mind and couldn't go back, and once I selected a 8 mana card and had to quit the game because I didn't know how to deselect it.
- Isn't it strange to get those 8 mana cards on those level where you have a max mana of 6 / 7?
Thanks for the game I had fun!
We're planning on make our game roguelike and adding deck building.
Thanks for play & your feedback!
