I really enjoyed this! Played way longer than I thought I would. Was a little confused when I ran out of fuel, the drill just kept moving but I was unable to turn. Then I realized it gives you another chance to hit fuel and recover before you sink to the bottom and have to restart. Actually a really cool mechanic.

Would actually play for hours with a little more fleshing out, maybe some more precise controls and a tech tree/equipment. Would honestly pay $10 for another motherlode-type game.

Its cool that you don't immediately lose when you run out of fuel. Other then that you should try to make the player think about something other than turning, or add upgrades to encourage the player to keep playing.

Remember old flash game motherload? Yeah this is that. And this is perfect. Like the idea, controls are great for the genre. though you start a bit too slow, takes too long to get to the first upgrades.

Neat game, I like the nostalgic "motherload" feel to it! Overall great gameplay, only remark would be that i couldnt figure out what hitting the "upgrate button did, but maybe thats just me :D

Is it supposed to be extremly fast or is this because of a very high framerate?

@leorid, It's because of high framerate. Sorry we are working on it

I wish I could play it but it's waaaayyyy to fast for me.
It was still fun even at 10x speed :D

A by-the-book approach to the theme, but it's quite fun and challenging. I like the way it plays, the controls are simple but the flow is pretty intense. Though I found it a bit hard to distinguish between all the different materials/ores.

Interesting little game, not entirely sure what the upgrade button did.

This is a really fun game, I could see it having a lot of replayability with more options for progression. The voxel art style is really cool for this type of game, and your generation of terrain feels well put together. The only thing that I did not understand while playing was how to get more fuel, the explanation at the beginning was a bit unclear on that point, although looking at some of the comments here fuel came from a different resource in the ground. This is also a game that I think would have benefited a lot from some sound work, but I understand the limitations of a game jam. I would love to see where something like this could go in the future, I could see a mobile game based on it being a great time sink. Well done!

Kind of fun to play with!

I didn't really understand what was going on when I ran out of fuel, I guess that meant that I wasn't able to steer anymore? Occasionally I seemed to regain that ability to steer, briefly.

I think with more clear UI around the upgrade system, and a way to regain fuel this game would have a really good game loop!

i liked the frantic pace of the game. i gave me the feeling that the drill was a force to be tamed and steered rather than it feeling like the drill needed to be shoved along in order to do something. i'm not quite sure what the upgrade button did though. the visuals look really good and i was able to tell at a glance what was good and what wasn't.
