Fitting music and sfx. The rabbit was very cute. Movement was a bit janky and the sounds & music were choppy for some reason but I had no bugs or bigger troubles with the game. All in all a solid little platformer.
The game was really fun ! A bit frustrated by the unkillable bats, but otherwise, I really enjoyed it ! Congratulations !
@3eal0t Neat that you had a good time. The "jump on head sound" was improvised by one of our team members just in the last minutes of the jam. xD
@metalfox-dioxymore Glad you like the levels and the boss fight and that you had some fun with our little platformer. You can kick the bats away. Maybe you want to try it and tell us how you liked it.^^
The intro is very well put together, we can feel the distress of Ludu as she awakens and the magical carrot is gone. And a wholesome final screen with every character eating a cake together
Nice little scene at the end, I knew Ludu was a good guy. ^^ Warms my heart!
If there was one thing I'd want fixed it's the kick in mid-air, makes you suddenly stop in an odd way, so I didn't use that all that much and instead just evaded the bats (which was horrible, because I sort of wanted to hear the sound effect!)
Great entry!
@scout I'm sorry for that. You are the first one who mentioned it so far. Maybe you can try another browser.
@stroe-andrew Neat that we could bring back some childhood memories. <3
@tengusheath Thx. :) Can you post a screenshot of were you've got stuck please?
I have one suggestion: I read the controls after completing the game (don't ask why), and I noticed there were 2 skills, kick and roll, that I never used. It would have been nice if the level design required you to use them.
Keep up the good work!

Congrats on your entry!!
@xyfeng Glad that the music and the art meet your taste. :) Kind of hard you say? But yes, we wanted the player to explore the levels. A mini-map is a good idea. Thank you for your kind words. It's great that you had a good time.
@amigopadilha Thx and cool that you enjoyed it. :)
There were several places with blind jumps that lead to spike pits. This always feels kind of cheap... something to keep in mind when designing levels like these. I suppose the health bar and lives system compensates a bit, but in general it's best to avoid that since players usually feel cheated.
Hit a bug(?) at the first gate where all the mole things were dead (and none were showing on the hud) but the gate wouldn't open. Not sure if I'm just doing it wrong, or if there's some edge case.
@kr0s Should we call it "retro vibes" then? xD
@fireslash Thank you for your feedback. I agree with you there. The level design needs some adjustments, so the player has more control of what happens next.
After you beat the last mole of a level, it drops a golden scissor, which cuts the streamer. Maybe you forgot to collect it or it just didn't drop.
Very nice art style and music. Some of the best music ive heard so far in this LD to be honest.
The game has quite a few leaps of faith tho, but i think that could easily be fixed with some more zoom. That would make the game less disorienting as well
Cant believe someone would steal this guys carrot!
Our musican really appreciate your words. <3
Yes, the game needs some adjustments, fixes and improvements for a better gaming experience.
We're working on some issues already.
Yeah, how could somebody really dare to steal it!?^^
Other from that one time the game froze and restarted me from a checkpoint when I still had lives left I didn't really encounter any bugs, so good job!
I appreciate the name, too.
Some notes:
1. `Roll: Strg` should be `Roll: Ctrl`? At least left control is what I can use to roll.
2. You should probably mention somewhere that you can double jump :P
We are a bit overwhelmed by all these kind comments. <3
We're happy that you like the level design. :)
@monninen Thanks for the compliments and the feedback. <3
You should have kick the bats in their asses. xD The rabbit has a kick ability "E". Try it.^^
As for the moles we got the suggestion to add kind of a mini-map to avoid backtracking.
@sneakylemon You've made it without these two abilities, so I guess it is okay. xD
Glad you like our concept. :)
We will check the "restart issue". Can you give us some advise when the bug occurs please?
Oh, yes "strg" is "ctrl". German here.^^ We were really tired. xD
Hm, a little hint for the double jump isn't the worst idea I guess.^^
Funny thing I found: I tried to see if I could jump as I was rolling. Ctrl+W closes a tab in Chrome. Minor, but gave me a chuckle.
Oh, that is a really funny thing. xD
@cyriaque Thx and yes, the "blind jumps" are a thing.^^ Maybe we will polish that I guess.
Great that the graphics and the mechanics meet your taste and yes, the blind jumps will be gone in a more elaborated version of the game.^^
@krapht Your comment makes me laugh so hard. xD Better smashing the digital ones than the real one I guess.^^
@hutchings90 Thank you. <3 Oh no, not that one again. xD You are using Chrome, right?^^
@nuclearredeye We're very glad that you had such a good time with our game. :)
Yes, that is right. You have to wait for the next three moles and after doing that three times in total you can beat the mole king. We had planned to add something between, but the time you know.^^ Maybe we will add more variation to the boss fight in a more elaborated version of the game.
To sum up, amazing job on all parts! For the future, I would recommend also to focus a bit more on player experience (tutorial, menu and such) and polishing the existing mechanics (visual and audio feedback on hitting the enemy or being hit, making sure you don't have blind jumps from a platform into a lava or spikes that player can't predict and such). For game jams, it's usually fine to sacrifice an extra level to make the game feel more complete and easy to play.
Thanks a lot for making this fun game!
Really appreciate that! <3
I agree with you that we could have made one level less, so that we would have had more time to polish the rest. A good lesson for us. I'm glad that you had fun though. :)
I'm really overwhelmed by all your kindness. Thank you again. <3
Maybe you want to go for another round to kick those bats (they make funny sounds xD).
Some game design aspects were a bit redundant - for example, no need for both "kick" and "jump on head" mechanic - you could kill bats by jumping on them. Same for having both a lifebar and "lives". You could use one or the other, not both. Remember that game design is the art of doing more with less!
I also liked the story and the little boss fight.
If I would suggest one improvement, it would be removing (moving away) the spikes and lava pits that you can fall into from the top without even knowing that they are there. That does not feel great from the player's perspective as there is nothing I can do to avoid it (I can avoid it once I know they are there but the first time I'm falling I can hit some pits/spikes by pure dumb luck).
Including some list of controls would probably be nice too :)
And a cake party!

As for the level design I agree with you. It is just frustrating to get damage, 'cause of bad luck.
CAKE! xD
This is great to hear that the controls respond well for you.
The hidden ones were intended, but I hope they didn't annoyed you too much.
Glad you like the audio and our little intro. :)
Spent some times enjoying the controls on the first landing site... they are really enjoyable ! You made a great work for them !
Animations (cinematics and in game) are really cute.
Music is also really nice !
Maybe my only critics would be that some interactions (opening levels, ...) lack audio feedback, and maybe the music is a bit saturated ?
Great that you enjoy the controls that much. :)
Thx for your feedback. Can you explain what do you mean with the music "is a bit (too) saturated"?
