Deep Miners by dimaswift

[raw]
made by dimaswift for Ludum Dare 48 (COMPO)

Simple yet satisfying sandbox game. You spawn cubes that bounce around, digging the hole, deeper and deeper.

I was going to make it into an idle clicker with the goal of going deeper and deeper, collecting power ups, upgrading your "miners", etc.

But I got carried away with visuals and technical stuff so I only finished a sandbox mode lol

Made with Unity DOTS framework btw.

Really sick demo! I appreciate the polish you put on the design, visuals, and structure instead of trying to make extra game systems. it turned out great

I had a really zen time playing this. The vibe is just so perfect. The sound is very ASMR. Lots of fun to play around with. I like the idea of the idle clicker too. Would love to see that come to fruition so if you go that route make sure to update me with a link.
The colors and glow were a lot of fun too.

I think this is really neat to play around with. Carving out small features is awesome and It could definitely make a really cool terrain builder/generator if you could export it somehow. Cool concept :)

This is much more of a digital toy than a game, but it is a nice one at that. Nice chill vibes! Makes me think of Townscaper, but reversed

Very nice looking toy rather fun to play with. I wonder what the game would have been like :)

Fantastically relaxing, this would work well with calming music and repetative, but not annoying sound effects.

Nice tech demo. Lacks a goal. But sandbox ist still fun to play around. Reminds me of some Music Visualizers. Would be nice if you could either play it to some nice music or maybe generate some music with it.

Great work, this game feels super polished. Clean, even animated UI, nice visuals, customizable gameplay, subtle audio. Your game just has it all!

While this is not a game it's a really great sandbox toy. Love it.

Nice visuals! Couple of bugs: 256*256 is animating really slow, and if you destroy blocks and camera moves down, you still need to click where original top surface was or it won't work

I think sounds matter a lot. It would feel completely different, if you add different node for blocks, so they would combine into chords or random melody when you dig em out

It shows that all time was spent on the visuals, this does look great! It would probably make a cool looking sequencer if you allowed to set different sounds/tones to each of the cubes.
