Deep-fry Deeper by Ithildin

:goal: Basics :goal:
- :bacon: Cooking minigame collection where you essentially deep-fry ALL THE THINGS. Or well, that was the original idea. Since we could only complete one recipe from the list we'd brainstormed, for the time being you deep-fry ALL OF THE CHURROS .
- :pancakes: Fully mouse-controlled.
- :yellow_heart: Try to get the oiliest result! :D

Art is eyecandy and nicely polished very well used audio also = great entry, congrats!
I got a little frustrated with the chocolate part. The really fast speed feels way too fast, so it's sometimes a bummer when you had a row of perfect churros and then got unlucky at the end. I think the random aspect of the speeds adds a nice challenge though, so while it feels a little unbalanced, overall I like it. Great work!
I really like the graphics, and the sound elements.

Thank you for a great time and congratulations on your work
Also made me discover the existence of FILLED CHURROS?! I need this in my life.
Anyway very clean and polished, that is so satisfying.
I want to believe that When you are enjoying a development this will reflect on players so we are happy to see that you have a funny time playing it. Thanks a lot for your time and feedback, really appreciate it :v:

Haha, I like this game. It's short and simple and I had to giggle. It looks polished and the artwork is cute, if you add a background jingle, it would be perfect.
I didn't know there are filled churros. Mind explosion!!
The title reminded me of this Simpsons episode? XD

I love this game! It's simple and fun, it's a unique take on the theme and the art looks stunning! Among my favorites of this jam, great job :)
Thanks for the feedback and for playing it
The games are cute and easy to understand after one try. The UX is perfect, the feedbacks, instructions and sound design give a very polished feeling.
The visuals are omg soo great.
Thanks for the game and good job 💕
Thank you all for your comments! I'm still processing them and trying to catch up while trying to stay awake (I haven't fully recovered  :face_palm_tone1: )
The filling stage is intentionally harder to encourage replayability since the minigames are too mini, but perhaps we went a bit overboard. I tweaked the fill rates to make them go relatively fast given a range, and at the same time I also decided to decrease the valid margin, so the compounded effect makes the odds of success more RNG-dependent than they should be. Sorry! ~~(but not too sorry)~~
About the lack of a numeric score... We decided to obscure the final score, as it was tricky to come up with a partial scoring system per step and the current rules are arbitrary af, so the number might not have offered a lot of actually useful information other than x > y. Given that it's a recurring question, we'll probably reconsider for a post-jam version.
Add some more recipes and levels and you have a great quality game
@stephen-scott-day OMG! thanks for this <3 and yes, red beans fill would be awesome twist
Overall, it was pretty good!
There could be some variety of foods tho. I was expecting to fry some potatoes. :)
And I don't know if that was intended but the fill gets too fast while sometimes too slow and easier.
Also having an android build of the game was a big plus!
Good job!
Fun little game by the way.
I would have loved it if the churros you made in the first game was reused. For example, if you made a short one that would affect the timing for the filling.
I also want a churro now...
LOL. Lovely game. Making a bunch of these minigames and running your own restaurant would make an interesting full game!
