UPDATE:

The game has been ported to work with mobile/touch screen devices in browser. A really nice idea for the jam! The graphics are simple but effective at conveying the environment, the gameplay loop is easy to pickup but harder to master.
Some audio would of been nice but otherwise a solid entry!

Although I'm afraid of heights, this game is really good

A bit unforgiving due to the randomness. Got 5 terrible rockformations on my initial 5 runs. The sixth was better and I manage to get somewhere.

@rob-parker Thanks! I know it is a shame about the audio! There's even some audio files in the download that I didn't have time to put in the game :(

I love the art style ! It's goo that the level change at each death :) (randomly generated I guess). The game is fun even if it has only one button ^^. Really cool entry :)

I lol'd when a tiny bird knocked me down, unexpected :D Loving the bitwise graphics with the black and yellow! Color palette reminds me of the warning signs

Excellent little game, first time I hit a bird and realised they were obstacles on my best attempt was infuriating... but that's on me :D

Really nice concept, though I'm not very good at this XD

Kinda wish for it to be a bit more fast paced, wouldn't have minded upping the speed when jumping. A fun score game for sure :)

I love the simplicity of the monochrome graphics and the one-button controls. Fun but feels a bit too random. I'd like it if the game was a bit faster paced. Nothing that would require me to jump more often / frequently, but something other than trying to guess how far to jump would help. There was a bird once but it must be very rare!

Simple but fun. Good aesthetic and the difficulty was just right. could have used some audio, but still very nice.

I like the idea! The 2 color palette and simpler visuals worked well. Fun idea overall!
(Not to sound like a broken record but definitely wish there was sound)

Nice idea! I liked the simple controls and the obstacles were easy to spot. Silhouette style works really well.
Good simple descending game!

Love the aesthetics and great concept. Reminds me of the yeti flash games from way back. Simple yet so effective. wonderful!

this is very innovative. I really like the mechanics of your game. The rope felt very smooth too. And the controls very intuitive. On top of that, the visuals were very pleasing. i can't see any reason why you'd score badly in this game jam. Congrats :)

Cool gameplay. Got to 170m. Really depends on the random generation. Sometimes it feels like it is impossible to get by. Had like 3 stones and a bird afterwards. But otherwise nice simplistic artstyle and very satisfying gameloop.

This is awesome, I love how stylized it is. I really wish there was some sound with this, and I hope you will add some in the future. This really reminds me of some old flash games you would play in class for hours. Really well done!

Super cool warning sign-esque graphic design! I agree with other people about wishing there was sounds, didn't realize how much it contributes until it isn't there..

Yes, it looks like evolving in a "work in progress" sign.
Simple and fun.

I would have loved some air control, to add some variety. And it could still be a one-button.
While on rocks, the button is used to set the jump power, like it is now.
While in the air, the button is used to go down a little faster, as if the character was going down on the rope.

I would also have liked the display of my highest score. When I die, I have to very quickly look at my depth score, before it is replaced by the depth of the next game.

Very fun and stylish! I like how the rocks would fall if your corpse hit them. One thing I noticed was that if you started holding down the jump button before you reached the wall, you wouldn't get a progress bar. This wasn't a big deal, though. A well-made entry!

@recher Thanks! I agree with both of your suggestions. I'll be testing out the air control for the next version

A super simple and fun little game. I love the visuals, but it could have used some music and sound effects. But anyway a good jam game. Well done.
