The cutscene in the beginning was very funny. The gameplay was pretty smooth but it didn't change enough to be interesting. I think the player should be able to get more items within the playtime, alternatively there should be a way to keep items past the boss. Sound design was pretty good with the exception of the coins, they made my ears go owie.

@offdutyextractors thank you for the feedback! All were problems I wanted to address but didn't have time to, unfortunately. A potential "full release" would likely include an endless mode (on top of more room variety, bosses, items, etc), which would hopefully alleviate the main problems.

Hi I just finished playing your game. It was quite fun and I enjoyed it. In particular the items felt really good and powerful and you have great humour injected into it all which is really nice!

To give some feedback, I'm not sure if the chests contained different rewards? I.e. You don't have as many keys as chests, and without any indicator of its contents (maybe there could be a hint that one contains a heart vs. coins) there's no reason for me to not just choose the first one available all the time - which is what I did.

I'm a sucker for a game with a small game window like yours has, so I really enjoyed the compact nature of it! Congrats on finishing and submitting!

@zoarfy I'm glad you enjoyed it! Chests have a 75% chance to contain coins (between 75 and 125) and a 25% chance to contain a random item. The drop rate between coins/health/keys/chests is split 25% each, but I agree that certain loot like keys should be more common than chests.

Very fun! the sword attack is a little bit slow, but you get used to it. Nice job!

This is a very fun game!
I really enjoyed the intro of the game, it immediately set the tone for the game and made it feel more alive.
And another thing I really liked was that there are several different upgrades you can get every time. Like the first time I played it I had the double jump, the second time I had the two attack upgrade. That makes it a lot more interesting!
All in all it is a really good game for such a short amount of time
