Graphics are very cool ! I like the "depth effect", we struggle to visualize the distance between rocks, it's a very good idea and pretty well implemented :open_mouth:
The gameplay is simple and enjoyable, this is maybe too easy but the experience was fun !
Well done !

this game is a nice and fun simple play, i really enjoyed it! the music fits very well with the graphics, theme, and concept so well done on tying it all together. the only nitpick i have is the character can sometimes be indistinguishable from the background. other than that, great job, i'd love to see this game be developed further!

Really fun game, i really enjoyed the depths combining with pixel art. I dont think if the game stalactites is a bit too close or if im just noob. But in overall is a pretty good job, keep up!

Game is nice! I wish it had a button that just went to the next level instead of sending you back to the menu. ~~and I found if I clicked back and forth quickly it would never register a hit~~ Other than that the graphics and sound are great! It's a fun, and clicky game :)

edit: After replaying, I think I just got really lucky, so, no bug there!

I don't seem to be able to take damage or die. Probably not intended?
The depth effects are really nice. It does actually feel pretty 3D. Music gives good ambiance.
Minor QoL things like making cliffs you've already passed transparent if you're under them would help.

I absolutely love the perspective you chose; the music and the deep-blue fog obscuring objects in the distance and then getting darker as you progress the levels adds so much to the feeling. Loved that intro in the last level!

It was difficult sometimes to tell what hitbox I touched, although that's a challenge when you make this kinda 2.5D style game I suppose. Well done! Nailed the theme.

Dang I really loved how the third cave really ramped up the pressure (pun?) both sonically and gameplay-wise. This genuinely was a fun little game!

This game is so cool!! One of my favorites in the jam. The two different movement options are very unique but I ended up only using the long dash. The third level "boss battle" was such a nice surprise! I felt like the difficulty was well balanced, but often I would hear the getting hit SFX and not take damage. The music in combination with the spooky deep sea atmosphere is truly stellar. A++ game, congratulations!

This is really good! I like the graphics and atmospheric effects. I could play this for ages :D
Would it be possible to add fullscreen to the player on itch.io? I can only play it with a small frame

Wow! This game really make you _feel_ like you're going deeper and deeper. I especially like the intro to level 3 and the change in music: it sets a great mood for that final level. Personally, I found the controls and collision detection to be a bit frustrating. I often got hit when I thought I was in the clear. Also, when you die the depth counter loses position (the helmet always goes straight to the bottom), so you can't see how far you got. Despite those nitpicks I think this is a really solid game, with excellent art, music, mood, and theme.

Simple and nice, the music fits well with the theme. Maybe more visual feedback when you hit a rock would help and improve the experience. I found the last level quite difficult compared to the others. Well done.

Very fun but challenging game, I have to admit that I didn't beat the third level even though I tried many many times.
The artstyle is absolutely awesome and the sounds are really good too

I liked it. It felt like the 2nd level of Contra on NES, but cute art style, theme, and music. I kept getting hit by the rocks, so I wish there was a bit more of an indicator as to how far away they were. Overall very polished for a game jam!
