Cat in a chasm

The infinite falling game

You are a cat. You feel in a chasm. You want to escape the chasm.

The exit is somewhere at the bottom of the screen.

At the top are boulders, which caved in, and are bad. You want nothing to do with them.

Boulders hurt. Exit good. Exit is where you fall on all four feet!

If you can't exit, the next best thing is to get as far as you can.

Controls

Use left and right arrow keys or A and D to move.

The way you get caught on the rocks made it really difficult, but I loved the mood and sound effects! Meow

Just the meow button earned this game a 5 on humor

Love the dedicated meow button.
The background art looks nice especially in a game like this where it needs to repeat and so is one of the main things you are looking at, but it felt a bit mismatched with the cartoon style platforms and cat.

10/10 the meown button!

I think the drop speed of the cat could be a little higger tho.
Also we made the same thing XDD

That was OK. The obstacles were a bit too much punitive.

Also cats are cool 10 out of 10.

Sometimes you would get caught the ledges and instantly lose.
The boulders moved very fast and it felt like it was very hard to make up time if you ever hit a ledge.

Great job, had a lot of fun.![CatHS.PNG](///raw/01b/d3/z/411c2.png)

My best score was 817 metres. My reactions are just too slow  Although, it does prove that the 9 lives thing for cats is wrong... my cat had about 100 lives. I did feel like occasionally I clipped platforms that I hadn't actually hit. That could just be sour grapes, though. It would have been nice if the came increased in difficult the further you fell. Sometimes you get a super easy start, other times it's super hard. The sound and music was cool. I like the art style and the general idea. Overall, a great little game!

A hard game, but it definitely is something else. I love the art, the music, I just love everything about this.

Wow, this is a tough game. My best score was around 850m.
I love how the cat falls and rolls around. I pretty much immediately dubbed it "Tumblecat".

All in all a fun game, sometimes you get rock combinations that feel impossible to clear, though.

Super addicting game!!

My only complaint is that sometimes it feels impossible to get by some areas. Maybe a warning at the bottom before the rocks come on screen, or somehow procedurally arranged so that there wouldn't be impossible combinations?

Love the game and love all the meows!!

I like this game but like others have said it feels very hard to get very far. One reason for this I think is that the levels appear to be procedural and random. I feel like pre-planned levels give a better experience for something like this because the player can remember where the obstacles are and how to react. A neat trick for procedural might be to make the game unique for a player's session. For example, the level is auto generated and then stored somehow for the player for a period of time.
