Perspective

Main Description

This is a very simple platformer, but I'm really happy with some of the camera/backend functionality to expand on later. The levels are duplicated because I ran out of time to build two good levels, but it tests the end to end level functionality.

Functionality includes -- Rekeybinding -- Camera that follows the player and can be moved with arrow keys (or rebound) -- Save logic/profiles to PlayerPrefs -- Detecting when elements are offscreen and killing/pausing them -- Reset level feature -- Reusable window overlay system

Known Bug

Scroll rect on profile page is not working. It should work I'm not sure why. Will look at it later.

Assets not my own/Started beforehand

I used two asset packs for a majority of the images, but I drew the heart, turret, and bullets myself and tried to match the art styles I pulled from.

I started from my own library on some of the key inputs but improved upon it. (similar to using a library to do it for you which I think the rules says it's okay)

This is also meant as a way to make myself learn some of the UniRx messaging system so I use it a lot during the game.

Things I want to build in the future -- Adjustable difficulty whenever you want (disabling some achievements when this is done)Perspective Main Picture.png -- Achievements -- Dialogue/Lore System around why the game is called Perspective and why this matches the Deeper and Deeper theme -- Tutorial -- Creative levels that require camera movement and player movement and changing perspective/zoom to solve them. -- Add a masc character and an enby character, let user choose gender boy or girl or enby. -- Character destroys stuff.

Hi!

I'm sorry, but I couldn't play your game. When I launch it and start moving, my character just flies up somewhere. I don't understand how to deal with this, but I tried about 7-8 times.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to rate the game.

However, I liked the idea of changing the camera. This is a bit unusual and, perhaps, if you finish the control of the character, it will be delicious.

Good luck to you!

So i played the game, and i didn't really understand what it's about, there this camera moving mechanic, but it's not really clear what it does, also i can just beat the game without it, you should really work on explaining the gameplay better, also art is pretty incosistant, i know you didn't make it, but when choosing the assets, try to pic ones in simallar artstyle, like you are mixing digital art with pixel art which isn't really fitting
