You are Bumpy Drilly, a cute little robot trying to mine as deep as possible while making money.

Use the arrow keys or the mouse to move. Gather ores and gems to earn money. Purchase an upgrade using the upgrade button or U as soon as you have enough money. Upgrades improves your vision and mining speed.

There is an ending once you reach the end of the world.

This game was obviously inspired by the famous Motherload.

Cute character design and nice start to a driller game! I think it would be cool if there were enemies in the ground you had to dodge like in dig dug.

I expected to jump and drill, but got a slow-slow drilling instead. But then it got faster! And then slower again. I hate those kind of games because of how addictive they are =)
Also, ending got me scared to no end, when I realized I have to navigate my not-so-optimal maze which I obviously didnt bother to remember. Great mechanic.

I don't even know if anything was chasing me but it makes me very happy that you included an ending with a dramatic sequence.

As addicting a concept as ever, really enjoyed it. And the drill reminded me of the old Rareware titles, with the googly eyes and what not, which is always a plus.

Cool game! The mechanics are simple and work well, and the visuals and audio are solid. I thought it was getting a bit repetitive, until the twist at the end which definitely elevated the experience. Nice job overall!

Wow this was pretty addicting. The end really surprised me, and I thought it was a clever way to end the game mechanically. Very well made.

Super fun. Would have played 5 more times if there was a speedrun timer score at the end.

This is one of my favorite entries. So engaging and relaxing. The ominous feel is palpable. 10/10

Addictive game, finally rescued the child! Very slow at the beginning though.

The simplicity of just pointing and clicking made the gameplay loop really work for me, and the higher rewards were paced out enough that by the time I grew tired there was always something new to collect to keep me wondering if there was an endgame, and there was! Though admittedly the trip back was really tedious because of the way my tunnels had been built. I wish there was a more explicit challenge to the game, suggestions like timing it could do it, or even just introducing some aspect of player agency where rather than upgrading drilling speed and light source at once perhaps we could choose?

Very calming and I like it. The next upgrades are not really out of reach, it feels doable and gets addicting that way. Well done!

Becomes addictive fast. Would have liked it if the general drilling speed was somewhat higher, but otherwise the balance feels good. Well done!

REALLY LOVED THIS GAME, I played motherload as a child it was one of my favorite browser games, and while I was playing this game I thought "it is ok, it's fun but a little too slow", then when I had to escape with the child, it hit me: I HAVE TO ESCAPE THROUGH A LABYRINTH THAT I MADE MYSELF. Most rewarding game I have played in 3 Ludum Dare editions, really nice job!!!

Loved this game, the ending was not expected at all and it perfectly completed the rest of the gameplay, I played it 3 times!

Fun game and simple enough to instantly know what to do. The game slows down a lot though with the drilling speed which is kinda annoying, just the fact that it got darker would be good enough!

Had great fun, but I wish there was more to upgrade than just speed/light. Played all the way to the end! I lovedhow you changed up the mechanics a bit there.

I really had fun with it. It's surprisingly interesting to drill around in search of gems :). The main character is very cute and the tileset is well-made (not too busy, informative and pleasant to look at) - only the tiny green gems look a bit like leaves at first glance

I had trouble getting used to the movement system. I kept trying to turn around with left-right arrows instead of using them to just move. I got a hang of it after a while but then reverted to having trouble while "under pressure" (when escaping at the end). I guess this kind of movement is just not a default in my mind.

In any case, it's a really fun jam game! And a polished experience - i found not even one bug.
