Using her shrinking magic, Amelia the Healthy Elf has entered the body of a sick patient to try and find the cause of her illness. Digging through viral crystal build-up and other body gunk, Amelia will delve deeper and deeper until she discovers the cause. She'll have to spend her time wisely: digging for upgrade gems will help her get through more efficiently, but the clock is running--once her magic runs out, she will return to her normal size, and if she's still inside when that happens... It's game over.

Made with GODOT 3.3

P.S. The SOUND might sound strange in the HTML5(web) version of the game. If it does try the other versions.

That was such an enjoyable game to play !
Congratulations with the art side, such a lot of work on the character's animations !
The saturated sound kinda repelled me at first, but at the end I kinda enjoyed it as well.

Good job on the overall !

This is my favorite game over screen of the competition. I think if I were to criticize anything, the mouse control was superfluous and could have been set to a button. I think this is a charming piece of work though. Congrats!

Fun gameplay, good art, and an entertainingly silly story. I will say that after a single upgrade, it never really felt necessary to boost speed any further. Similarly, the option to buy time never felt needed, with all the time blocks. Still, it was a fun little game.

Now that was fun! No bugs or complaints to report. Once again the quality of the art is amazing.

#1 game over screen in the history of game over screens. I laughed out loud when I saw you actually drew that! 😂

Fun and well polished game. Impressive in 72h. I liked the RPG dimension but I would love more of this. Drawings are really great. Intro is fun (just a bit too long). Level design is really well balanced. I had the adrenaline shot while finishing just on time. I have been stuck in an impossible level twice. Nice entry overall.

Superb impressive art and design. But gameplay is kinda slow paced, i guess.

Good game. Nice story and graphics. The instructions screen can be a bit much to take in at once though. Maybe you could make some tutorial levels where you introduce the different kinds of blocks one by one.
All in all - very good

That was a great game, and the art was great too, but the sounds were too saturated for me, but hey that’s just me

Great game! Art was pretty nice. I thought the game over screen was pretty funny, was not expecting that at all. Good job!

While the audio was lacking, the art was quite good, but inconsistent throughout the game. Next time, consider a single style. The game had the most background out of any other game I played with the whole cutscene at the beginning. The game was probably a bit too hard though. Even though this comment sounds harsh, I really did think this was a good game, keep up the good work!

I just loved the concept! The art in the start cutscene is quite nice and the game plays well. I had fun with it :).

The tileset could be changed a bit as it is quite busy and it is not immediately apparent, which tiles are passable and which are not. I mean, make the "floor" lighter in color, for example. That would help with discerning the function of the tile at first glance, without need to analyze. It also seems that the random level generation can result in an unreachable Exit tile:

It felt bad to blow up the poor patient from the inside

Thanks for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed the game.
I do want to point out that level is possible following the above path, hopefully that helps!

@no-grapes-games Waaaait! So I've been playing it all wrong! I thought, for some reason, that those are walls I cannot dig through  That explains a lot. I will actually have another go at it with this awesome knowledge.

I recognize this art style from previous jams, so I had to come and play your latest. I wasn't disappointed. I'm a baby so I do have a complaint. The one issue I had was the timer not pausing when I brought up the upgrade. So, I had to plan my moves ahead and quick click on things so I didn't lose time... I still finished with over two minutes remaining though, so maybe I was stressing for no reason.

Those are some nasty SFX, y'all. Had to play it for the name alone, enjoyed breaking chains of blocks — pretty fun twist for a game like this. The parallax view at levels below was fun too, really sold the theme!

Great little game. I think Amelia, Healty Elf, is a great character. I wish the game is longer so I'll follow your itch.io account if you'll make it ;-).

I agree with previous comment saying the mouse control is superfluous: just a button to dig in the facing direction is enough.

[edit] I forgot to say: Windows version works on Linux + Wine!

Great intro and great gameplay. The tiles were a little confusing at first but once I figured out what was what I had a blast

That was great! You made my day=) This is similar to the old arcade games. The music was very atmospheric and fun! But the noise from the record was a little disturbing. The graphics are also on top I like your style. You've done a lot of work. From cons: perhaps it is worth adding a pause during the selection of perks? At the beginning of the game, when I had not yet found the time boxes, I was very nervous about this=) Thank you for the mood!

That was a lot of fun! I got confused about having to click *and hold* to dig. I know you need to balance things so that a casual reviewer can see all the content, but I'd love to see a more challenging version of this game! Graphics were great and I loved the opening illustrations.

It was fun. It seems to have understood lore, but it seems that I did not understand). But thanks for such a good story. It was fun to play).

BEAUTIFUL ARTWORK!! This game's art is so super cool, very well done!! As for the game, it's a fun experience, I wasn't sure how to play at first, since you had to click and hold.. I almost quit the game thinking it wasn't working. Loosing screen was just hillarious, great job overall! Congrats!

Sorry children, Amelia the Healthy Elf had to leave, but I'l finish the presentation.

So, to stay healthy, the utmost important thing is to spend your hard earned gems to increase your dig. You can find time everywhere in your body and the blocks are the biggest obstacle between you and you staying healthy. It might not be obvious in the beginning, but you'll find gems in the star blocks all around your body. Just hit them with your shovel a couple of times to get the gems out!

And that, kids, is how you stay healthy. Next time you see Amelia around, tell her that the music and visuals were great as always and thank her for the web build! What is a web build? Don't worry about it, you'll learn when you get older and start appreciating such things!

Congratulations on your game, beautiful art, perfectly combined with the game, the music is really cool, a suggestion for future upgrades, putting tutorials by parts teaching the player the mechanics, one of the things that bothered me was releasing the button to regenerate the stone , and when entering the store the time continues to run, the game is very nice to play I ended up getting excited and it is over, I really hope you follow this project, because it is really cool, great work, thank you for the opportunity to have known your work, and I await your evaluations regarding my game I will be very happy, a big hug.

Fun game, the addition of upgrades was great. Funky music and nice art as well.

I think being able to buy more time makes it a little bit too easy though.

Absolutely celebrated the game over screen! :D Neat intro! We thought the graphics were rather inconsistent, and maybe we would've liked the game elements be introduced more slowly over time?

The ilustrations are amezing! There was some graphics elements that were not fitting together, but that is no big issue.
Loved the level design, great job!

So glad I decided to play again to discover what happens when I run out of time.

This was a fun little game! And the art is downright adorable as always. I do kind of wish that the gameplay would evolve a bit more as you progressed in the levels, but I still enjoyed the gameplay loop of finding a crop of gemstones and clearing them out. Nice job!
