Great game, good job.
Congratulations on the publication! I loved the game :smile_cat:
I really liked the graphic style (all thanks to the little glasses, it was so cute). If you want to re-work on this game, maybe you could create multiple biomes / other vegetables !
The music didn't loop properly, I may be wrong but it sounded like you used an mp3 file or something (mp3 usually won't loop cleanly, as opposed to wav or ogg).
Also it'd be nice to see your current score during gameplay. Doesn't really affect anything, but just feels better imo.
As for the live score, that was actually a deliberate choice. It would be very easy to insert that text but I decided against it. My thinking was to put the attention on the carrot - your life. Also I find it a nice element that you do not know until the last moment whether you are better than before or not. I find it adds a little tension :-)
Sometimes the sound disappeared for me, but usually came back after a refresh.
Like others I think the carrot hit boxes could be a little bigger, and due to the speed I found it a little unintuitive as I had no idea what was coming up next.
Overall the gameplay is a little unforgiving. I think the carrots and onions spawn randomly, so it's luck of the draw how many I'll see - but it seems even when I have a good run with lots of carrots and few onions, the game is still over very quickly. It doesn't seem like eating carrots replenishes the meter by a great deal. I wonder if it might be fun to have a predetermined run that you could try to master through a lot of playthroughs and trial and error?

The game is fun but requires super sayan reflexes to dodge or eat carrots  The graphics are good ^^
The SFX of the rabbit which vomits makes me a bit sick 🤮

Recording the puking sounds made me a bit sick too haha
Thanks for playing and commenting on our game :)
Sometimes I got a bit stuck when holding down left or right, which made it hard to predict the angle I needed to catch the carrot. Also, I think it might be worth experimenting with the difficulty/intensity curve a bit more. It felt like I was making good progress and getting faster at the beginning, but after a while it just seemed like the same thing for a long time (probably because we perceive sensory changes in a logarithmic manner, so maybe the speed should be increased exponentially?)
But the animation and the well-crafted sound effect at the end made it all well worth playing :stuck_out_tongue: My score was 12580.
Congrats on making your first jam game! 🥳 Really well done!
A simple game sure, but it works well and looks nice.
At first it seemed kinda wonky, since it seemed like I often "got stuck" on the tunnel I was digging, but the game felt a lot smoother, after I figured two things out:
1. It's better to just press the buttons rather than holding them down.
2. The rabbit and carrots/onions are aligned in lines and with one press you change one line.
With that in mind the game was a whole lot more fun. And I could appreciate the art and cute sound effects (apart from the vomiting at the end, maybe ) even more.
This is the end score of my first playthrough:

Cute arts, fun sounds, a little repetitive yet not disturbing music. I found this game a little too easy (in fact I would say it's almost as too easy as mine is too difficult 😂), but it was fun to play! Good job!
