The jam story
Because it's the first time I'm using Stencyl I wanted to plan a game I could do in 24 hours. So I would have 24 hours just to export, troubleshoot and upload the game. My time management skills were up to par, and I finished my game within 24H including music and sfx.
Good thing I did finish early, because my lack of experience with flash, HTML and Itch.io gave me some trouble. First I exported a flash version, and realised it wouldn't play on Itch.io because Flash is not supported. (I thought it was still possible, if the user forced Flash to run)
Then I had to export all sfx again as .ogg files, needed for the HTML export. Then I uploaded it to Itch.io, but couldn't get the resolution and controls to work right. If I embedded the game, the up and down arrow would scroll the page on the web site, even with focus on the game. If I forced fullscreen, the game (as it looks now) would be anchored in the top left corner. Well, at least it's working.
I learned a lot from this jam. I like how easy and intuitive Stencyl is, even though it is a little unstable and buggy. It's so quick and easy to get something going in a short amount of time. And for me, it's only a plus that it is visual building blocks, and you don't necessarily need to code.
I wish you all a happy Ludum Dare 48, and I look forward to get your feedback, and to try out your submissions aswell!

My score:

A very well executed entry ^^
The style was cute and the music was soothing, so it all seemed like a very relaxing experience.
That changed though around 800m and suddenly I was focusing pretty hard to catch the few bubbles that arrived and avoid the onslaught of jellyfish :D
I enjoyed this ^^
Edit: Ok I pushed the dive button offscreen and was patiently waiting for something!!!
I noticed that the "Dive" button can be hit by the diver before starting the game.
Is that an intentional easter-egg?
Also liked the oxygen refill / bubble mechanic. Nice work!
- So relaxing
- The audio was good
- I got a score of 400
