Description
Last time we took part in Ludum Dare (LD46), we made a game about our cat called "Dee" (Nekotchi). This time, we went DEEper AHHA AHHAHA AHAHAHA
This is an endless runner where you control the little fellow delving deeper into the phenomenon called "post-dump psychosis", strafing and jumping around, trying to dodge stuff and eat snex along the way. Didn't get as far with this as I would've hoped, but it's better than nothing innit.
Didn't have time to make music, so used one of my oldies which fits surprisingly well. Thus regarding the audio scoring, the music is mine but didn't make it during this jam so make of it what you will. The song in my Soundcloud
Controls
- A/Left - Strafe left
- D/Right - Strafe right
- W/Up/Space - Jump
Software used
- Godot 3.3 (C#/Mono version)
- MagicaVoxel
- PaintTool Sai 2
- Reaper (for audio)
Changelog (only in HTML5)
json

Strengths :
- Graphics and audio kick ass
- Straightforward and fun gameplay
- A cat ! And a cute one, at that
Possible improvements :
- Distances are sometimes somewhat difficult to grasp
All in all, great job !
Lol, nice! Adorable. Great cat.
Very hard to dodge the environment and get very far though!
I have a great time playing it, well done
@jlv Yeah definitely, a drop shadow underneath our main hero was planned to help with understanding the distances but sadly didn't make it to the submission hour.
@lumous If you land them from above enough, it should bounce off (most of the time). The nature of 2D billboards sprites kinda makes this harder than it should be though, again a drop shadow underneath would help :P
Thanks for your entry, it turned out to be very fun and perky!
